I tried playing PUBG lite using VPN, it either said server too busy or unavailable in your region, I checked my IP address, it showed Bangkok. Should I change my region to Thailand too in Windows settings?

If servers are too busy then just click on reconnect that's fine
If region error then either VPN / time zone issues or u need to delete some files which stores ur location and IP details

i am running PUBG Mobile on my laptop (i7 7th gen, 16gb ddr4 ram, amd r7 4gb dedicated gpu)
The game is not smooth, there's still a lil bit of lag and sometimes freezing.
I've been searching for fixes for a long time but still, and btw my ping is maximum 60.. thanks

Okay just go to the sound settings in the control panel and on the playback tab then double click on your headset or the output device you're using
then on the Enhancements Tab make sure the "Equalizer" option then select "Treble" which works for me best

@jade kayak Also make sure you have the "Loudness Equalization" on which for me makes the audio louder with tiny bits of tearing
And also on some pc's there is a tab called "Spatial Sounds" with Windows Sonic for headphones as one of the settings
make sure that's enabled with the 7.1 option selected
also for some reason that option turns off on its own after restarting your pc

Also there is another option for "Virtual Surround" on the "Enhancements" tab but I think that's for speakers

you'd probably need a much more modern cpu, @stoic flower. the official minimum requirement for TGB is currently i3 8100, which is way faster than any of the core 2 duo chips. additionally, your graphics card should support directx 11 at least.

you'd be risking a ban if you use an emulator other than tgb. we've had reports of people who have gone through that.

as for why the difference in quality... pubg was initially developed for x86 processors. it was then ported to arm processors(pubg mobile). arm processors are less capable than x86 processors. now you're trying to run arm code on x86 processors, requiring you to first translate the code to something that the x86 processor can understand.

The disk shader cache can sometimes be used more often by the emulator depending on how "Complete" it is
giving a better frame rate and better frame time but that isn't the case for most of the users

if you have at least one member playing on emulator, the whole team will be put in an emulator lobby
That also means that there maybe mobile players in the enemy team as they may have invited an emulator player to their squad

only way I know is to get shot even more
In other words try to do the stuff that causes stuttering more frequently
If your game stutters when near water then go near water more often

@carmine reef the overclock only really added about 12% over the base freq of 3ghz. I think its pulled up the average FPS a bit overall but I was still hitting the same kind of lows in the same sort of scenarios. I was disappointed but the CPU didn't actually cost all that much because its old.

The most massively important feature missing in PUBG Mobile is the option to disable Aim Acceleration. This is so weird why Tencent don't give a 💩 about this.

It doesn't have Raw input yet

where there is an option for Raw input
even if you disable the enhanced pointer option from the control panel, the mouse input would feel much slippery like in Half Life 1,
If you enable the Raw Input setting then it's much more responsive

@dark swan another PC upgrade in the lab this weekend - a friend of mine had an old i5-2500 he didn't want any more

seems to bench about as fast as my laptop and runs the game as well (55-60fps in training) but the boy reported 2-3 second freezes during gameplay. I think it was shader compilation?

Yeah I think it's shader compilation, android games don't really have that much shaders or materials so I don;t think it's gonna take that much time for it to smooth out

spent the whole weekend up to my elbows in the guts of various PC putting it all together. Only thing I needed to buy in the end was a bracket to mount the SSD into a spare 5.25 bay as I didn't have any 3.5 bays left in one of the boxes.

I think the CPU needs repasting though, with the stock cooler it hits 70c under load and idles at 39c

I bought thermal paste and paste remover for his last upgrade - got still almost a whole tube left

#

I could repaste it, but reading, these old chips run hot and its on the stock cooler so - will wait till I buy a new case and cooler for it

#

the case it came in is horrible - and it was clearly wired by monkeys

#

spent ages re routing cables but it is still a hideous mess in there

#

so new case, new cooler, new paste - should bring the temps down

#

I think in summer it will get too hot so I have a while yet to deal with it

Well since third party emulators don't use the same anti cheat as TGB , they are often detected as "Unauthorized" or "Abnormal"
which the anti cheat <in-game> might find suspicious, for that even some slight changes may be detected as game file breaching even if the changes had nothing to do with cheating

@stoic flower it's primarily for pubg mobile, and it has by far the closest thing to the steam version interface. If you know how to do something on the steam version, you know how to do it in pubg mobile, when you use tgb. With some exceptions. For example, in pubg mobile you simply can't adjust your scope's zero distance, so pgup and pgdn don't do anything.

they have different teams working on new content and on fixing/optimizing the game. As such, they can(and do) do both at the same time.
fixing and optimizing the game is time consuming. The game is literally millions of lines of code. Such large projects can't be fixed in 5 minutes. Even a few days is not enough time. The problem is exacerbated by the sheer number of devices that they are trying to support.

I found the fix. I downloaded the APK from PUBGMobile's website and installed it by changing the language to Chinese. Now its working.

the APK file from PUBG mobile is identical to the one the emulator downloads automatically (to the best of my knowledge)

and you could install it from the emulator's built-in browser without having to change language
