@crimson abyss That's a common bug which happens at random points in-game, not specifically when near enemies,
and the only way to fix that is to press CTRL twice which is used to lock and unlock mouse

@deep karma sorry, that would be a no. depending on the mobo manufacturer, you may be able to overclock the base clock, but that's about it. and I seriously doubt that laptop manufacturers will allow you to overclock the base clock

as I didn't face any performance issue for the last two months, so not sure about yours and many others. Also Tencent has already issued the performance drops even on phones, and already hosted a survey. As they said "LAG" might refer to quite a number of things, if the performance drops are happening because of the game then it might be improved over in the next update, if it's on the emulation side of part then it might actually improve the condition

@halcyon remnant It doesn't really fixes the problem but it improved over the existing condition, and this works as long as you don't reinstall which might revert back all the tweaks.

This is what I did:
After I disabled the "Render Cache" and "Enforce Global Render Cache"
I went to the UI folder in TxGameAssistant and then emptied the entire "Shader Cache" folder, then I went to the Nvidia Control Panel and made sure that my "Threaded Optimization" was turned on, also Turned off V sync,
and set the maximum Pre-rendered frame to 1 also made sure that the Shader Cache was on in those settings as well

And then played War Mode for about 2 hours

if I can make a suggestion, I'd say about 500 usd is a good price point. you can maybe shave off 100 usd or so and still end up with something half decent. I understand that you probably don't have that money just lying around, but any cheaper and you'll need to settle for used hardware(which means likely no warranty)

Ok so couple of things for the " Physics " in the game .
1st : Buggy Physics and the Pickup truck always turn to the left ( Slightly ) and that matters a lot .
2nd : Shotguns as the S1897 got a blast mode and able to get a suppressor on it
3rd : Bullets can penetrate walls after couple of shots in the same spot
and Bullets can go through vehicle window if you out side the vehicle and the opponent on the other side
4th : AWM as the ( .300 Magnum ) ammo "" can penetrate trees
5th Boats physics please !

on flat, level ground I've not seen the buggy going slightly left. but the pick up truck variants, definitely tends to turn slightly to one side.

re the buggy, I've noticed that occasionally it has a tendency to drift quite a lot, and it's really difficult to make it stop doing that

without getting into data center/server cpus like threadripper(and the Intel equivalent), the 2700x is the best at multi thread performance

although, usually, if you're willing to pay for a 2700x, pairing it with a gt 1030 is not a good idea. in such a situation, your graphics card will bottleneck the cpu

if you already have a gt 1030 lying around, it's fine as a temporary graphics card, while you save up to get something more worthy of being in the same case as a 2700x

as for parity with pc or even Chinese... it's not that the global devs are being lazy. firstly, in order to port from pc to mobile, sacrifices have to be made. mobile devices just aren't nearly as powerful as modern towers and laptops, so some graphics quality has to be given up just to make it playable. this largely depends on the smartphone and tablet manufacturers, not the game devs. game devs can't make your phone more powerful.

as for catching up to Chinese version... it is unfortunate, but this thing of the local version being way ahead of the global version is pretty standard with Asian developers.

like I said, it's a standard operating procedure with Asian developers. they release a local version, then some time later they release a global version. some of the delay comes from the need to translate a large amount of text, but mostly it's corporate/cultural in nature. tencent games are far from the only developer to do it this way. they have their own priorities for which markets they focus on. who are we to demand that they focus on our market more? particularly when they give us access to the game for free, with any micro transactions being completely optional.

@dark swan thank you for your Tom's Hardware suggestion, it appears to be working for now and the fps doesnt stutter in fullscreen. 😃 1 more thing, my discord does not detect TGB as a game, nor does it display overlay in it. (uised to work like 6 months ago), I have tested it in other games like Rainbow Six and PUBG Steam, but no overlay on TGB. I was wondering if there is a fix for it as well? As I can see some streamers for which the overlay shows, and my friends say it works for them too

sorry, but I'm actually more excited for the rtx 2060 than for Radeon VII. the latter is about as powerful as the rtx 2080, and is priced about the same, but doesn't have raytracing. yes, I know, raytracing is still new and mostly useless, but it is still an extra feature that the rtx 2080 has over the Radeon VII, at the same price and the same performance in other games. sorry, but it's just not particularly good value, the new amd graphics card.

@agile night I did say I'm aware that the technology is new and mostly useless. I'm aware that raytracing has a ways to go. but the thing is, you have two cards that cost the same and perform the same. only one card has an extra feature that the other one doesn't. true, it's not a particularly useful feature but it still differentiates the two cards. what does the amd card have to differentiate it (other than the branding)? more vram? that sort of thing is only going to be useful for content creators or miners(keep away from our graphics cards, dammit), not for gamers.

Okay so try these settings:
Turn off "Render Cache" and "Enforce GLobal Render Cache"
Set Processor to 2 Set ram to 2gb
and DPI to 120 or 160 since you're using 1280x768 which is a resolution I've never heard of

Go to the NVIDIA control panel then to "Manage 3d Settings" then to Program settings then click on add
Then look for this <it's not Tencent gaming buddy (appmarket.exe)>
Look at this screenshot, if you don't find this then look for it here: (install location\TxGameAssistant\UI\AndroidEmulator.exe)
and then make sure to select "High Performance NVIDIA Processor"

@last trench The DPI here doesn't affect the mouse movement
In the engine settings DPI simply refers to the "Dots per inch" on your screen which affects the size of objects on your screen except for in pubg where it makes no difference at all
If you go to the settings <the one you can access using f9 you'll see that the size of the icons and fonts change along with dpi
In this case, the higher the DPI, the smaller the Font/icon sizes>

see, unfortunately... minimum requirements are i3 8100 for the cpu, or equivalent. and the i3 8100 is faster than the i5 3210m. nearly twice as fast, in fact. and it's only going to get worse with future updates that introduce features that require even more compute power. I can try to suggest possible fixes, if you can show me your emulator engine settings and your ingame graphics settings

When suddenly getting in a crowded place, my frames drop to like 10 lol. I use i7 and 4gb gtx1050. So, there's no need to tell how bad tgb is lol

step 2: Go to this location: TxGameAssistant\UI\ShaderCache and then delete all the files there, <there's like 2000 of them>

Step 4: Go to the UI folder again then look for "AndroidEmulator.exe" then disable the "Fullscreen Optimization" and set dpi scaling to "Application"

Optional steps: 1) Go to NVIDIA control Panel, then select "AndroidEmulator.exe" then turn on these settings : "Threaded Optimization" and "Shader Cache" also make sure it's using the NVIDA GPU
2) If your FPS drop is severe then select maximum prerendered frames to 1, set it to higher value if you want but know that it might increase the input latency

also since that's a port it is supposed to run smoother, if it was emulated then it'd be different

#

In GTA San Andrease PC version, if you have the "Frame Rate Limiter" option tuned off, then you might face some weird issues where it's almost impossible to move forward underwater, cars sometimes automatically brake etc

On NFS Rivals, going above 30 would make the game run in a faster speed rather than in higher framerate

On Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on CEMU, all the physics object is heavier when playing at a higher FPS than 30, or example, arrows travel less distance than normal, etc

@soft monolith I have the exact same specs and I get 45-55 fps on average, Your Laptop name has "uq" at the where the q suggests that this is laptop has a quad core processor, you should be able to get 45 fps on average with drops being as low as 35
so as the guy above me asked "What settings are you using?"
