@knotty cargo no it doesn't use hyper-v. The only android emulator I know of that uses hyper-v is Xamarin Android Emulator, which can also use Intel HAXM like Google's own emulator. Both are targeted towards software development however and not much use to gamers.

but the most obvious reason would be
if they placed it somewhere on the eastern asia then the players from the middle east like UAE or Iran would get connection problems
If it was somewhere let's say in Afghanistan then the players from Malaysia or that region would get connection problems
Also server connection also depends on the data transfer rate of a country
Shanghai may have got stronger connections than Afghanistan

If someone from middle east made friends with someone in Thailand they can play anytime they want when on the same server
but if they get two different servers with both of them getting different connection speed then that might also cause problem

Cross server matchmaking might improve matchmaking times but then the option to select servers would not be that useful <even tho they already decided to do it> like many other games which automatically puts you on a match for example Siege
It won't be easy for them to handle 100 players with cross server matchmaking

I think they should give the players in the most populated areas their own servers. India surely has more players than all of the other regions put together. Middle east has less players and yet they are getting their own server next month.

I tried it on a 2400g with 4gb ram and a Rx 460 gpu
The 1% lows dropped to 11 fps after enabling it while the initial was about 20 fps
the average seemed identical with about 45 fps

@dark swan tried it in 1803 on the potato. Can't say I noticed a huge difference but it wasn't a scientific test. If pushed I guess the performance was a bit better with game mode off, the lowest FPS was a bit higher but the peak FPS was the same. Purely based on eyeballing it though.

On PC there is no server selection any more. Server is automatically selected based on ping (whatever is best for the party as a whole) and there's only one rank.

Vector with an extended, also good enough for Medium range with longer scope and decent ironsights
Uzi is good for only short range and CQB but not for other kind of situations as the ironsights can be quite distracting
