it helps because the graphics card and the monitor synchronize. if the graphics card can output more fps than the monitor's max refresh rate, it will slow the graphics card down so that the fps is equal to the monitor's max refresh rate.

vsync is different from freesync/gsync. vsync doesn't synchronize the monitor and the gpu. with vsync, the gpu can reduce to match the monitor, but the monitor can't reduce to match the gpu. additionally, the technical method that vsync works by makes it have way higher input lag. when I talk about adaptive sync, I'm only talking about freesync and gsync, not vsync.

@hushed crest if your gpu is capable of delivering 100 fps and you're not using adaptive sync(due to incompatibility), either of those monitors will only be able to display 75 fps. if you have an nvidia gpu, go into nvidia control panel and set "vertical sync" to fast. this will ensure that you don't get tearing while not introducing input lag that you can easily notice.

because of the elo score matching system and the player pool for the mode and server that you're trying to queue for.

as a percentage, emulators are far fewer than mobile players. so the higher you get, the fewer emulator opponents that have similar elo score to yours there are. which results in longer wait times

I recommend using the same resolution as your monitor but as if you're using 1024x768 then use 120 dpi

It doesn't affect performance but the dpi actually manages the mouse to a 1:1 ratio

Early on sure you can make the argument that camping or surviving is a valid strat. But later on you absolutely need a high game sense and gunskill to perform consistently and to win over and over and over

#

I promise you if you have an insanely good aim you will beat out almost everyone in this game

But this game doesn't reward good players it just rewards play time

#

You even have players tanking circle damage to further increase survival score to get more points

#

actually, what's really needed for most people is awareness of their surroundings. neither camping nor gun skills are nearly as important as being aware of where you're likely to get shot from and where the enemies are.

in general, I just don't like bolt action weapons. they scope out after every shot, making it hard to keep track of the target between shots.

I generally go for longer engagements, but I still prefer to have an ar over the vss or the win94. vss just doesn't have the same power at proper sniping ranges and you can't change its scope(which is only a 4x, making it more of mid range weapon than a proper sniper). and don't get me started on the win94 with its horrible iron sights and the fact that you kinda have to use it at close range, given that you can't put a scope on it. despite being classed as a sniper, the win94 is more of a shotgun, and not a very good one at that.

sorry, no one ever gets a direct connection to any server. instead packets follow a route that looks something like this: your pc > your network > any number of networks > the server's network > the server

#

right there in the middle, if one of the networks is experiencing unusually high traffic, you get lagged and there's nothing you(or the server owner) can do about it.

yes, ryzen is a good choice, if you expect to be doing a lot of multithreaded workloads

Yes you are right. I'm enjoying pubgm on Phoenix os. And Ive suggested many to try this over TGB. There is a slight learning curve with keymapper but after a while, it becomes natural. :)

that's perfectly fine. my advice is, however, to wait until tencent updates their emulator detection to detect PrimeOS as an emulator(even though, technically, it isn't)

it is a sore point with them, that octopus can get around the emulator detection and give some people an unfair advantage.

it really is not wise knowingly trying to play with a mouse and keyboard vs mobile players, rather than letting them segregate you. Tencent take fair play very seriously here.

emulators(or android for pc operating systems) are only allowed as long as they can detect and segregate them from the general, mobile population. trying to get around that, regardless of how, will lead to a ban, if they catch you.

as I understand it, the Thai thing is a port of pubg mobile to x86 architecture. which is a bit nonsensical to me, as pubg mobile is a port itself(of pubg steam). I mean, I know optimization takes a while, but come on, bluehole, just optimize pubg steam! at least give us something!

splitter so you can hear the game on your headphones while simultaneously outputting the sound from the speakers to the stereo mixer. in the stereo mixer, you plug in the second output from the speakers and your mic into its inputs, and its output into your computer's mic jack. then, use your favorite Android streaming app to stream to your platform of choice

setting this hardware thing sounds complicated, but it really isn't. it's just plugging a few cables and it's cheaper than getting a second pc.

the cheapest option, however, would be to not use Phoenix OS for streaming, but instead to play using an emulator under windows. then, all you'll need is the program OBS Studio, which is free, no additional hardware required.
