Hunting dog not working

So my bloodhound doesnt listen to literally everything, i have tried praising him to get him to best friend status but he still doesnt dare move a muscle let alone track blood. Apparently he is too good for me he only comes to me when he TPs. please tell me this is a me issue and not a game issue it kinda sucks knowing i paid for him js for him not to work...|
on my entire 30m hunt he didnt do NOTHING js barked at air
(i even tried getting him to track near blood still nothing after a second he went to idling)

if it really is a me issue pls tell me

Is this the first time you’ve experienced this bug, and does kenneling him fix it? (Make sure you don’t retire!) I know when this bug was more prevalent a year or two back, we often did that to fix it. Hopefully the devs see this so they know it’s still an issue for some!

Go to a cache and select the hunting dog tab, then click the button that corresponds with “kennel”. You should see the prompt options at the bottom right of that screen, kennel is one of them. Just puts your dog back in its metaphorical crate so you can take it back out again.

Just kennel the dog, take it back out, and see if it fixes the issue for ya. :)

ETA: again, don’t click retire the dog, as that will delete it 🙃I’ve made that mistake once or twice lol
