Need Zone Icon Setting bug

I believe the setting for "Need Zone Icons" under "Settings - Interface" isn't functioning correctly. when you turn it off then start walking around the map the need zone icons will still pop up, now you can get them to disappear by turning away or by zooming in with a weapon or binoculars, however I feel they shouldn't be showing at all if you turn them off. also I will add that changing the setting from in game or in the main menu then restarting the game or changing maps will not change this effect. if it is a bug it is not that game breaking cause it can be countered/fixed fairly easily, it is just more of a minor inconvenience. but if this is how it is supposed to work then I will continue to deal with it lol

i will, but does it count the need zones as POIs? if so whats the point of the need zone icon one lol

What platform, version # and such are you on? This is definitely bugged for you. Need zone icons should turn them off in game for you as well, which it doesn’t look like it is.

I'm on PC, got the game through steam and playing on the latest update. it still does this for me even after I verify my files through steam. can't tell you exactly how long its been doing this cause I've just been zooming in or doing a quick flick to look away and then back to make the zones disappear.

the POI setting works just fine if i turn it off but the need zone one does not
