The "backup save" feature on xbox is a change in the backend to backup your save file in case of corruption, you'll never see it or be able to interact with it.
so,what good does that do us? What does it do if our files get corrupted ??
It does a lot of good because then you can restore your save. What is it that you wish it did?
you stated above "in case of corruption, you'll never see it or be able to interact with it" I would like to know how I would be able to,,,I might be a little slow at figuring things out about this could you explain more ?
but how does one actually restore their save? if it does corrupt? like how do we access it?
It's automatic. When it detects a corrupt file, it automatically loads up your most recent backup.
And I assume PlayStation has no such way to activate this feature?
playstation already has it afaik
It sounds like it is similar to what happens on PC. On PC, if the game save is corrupt, it tries to roll back to a previous save "slot" (there are 3 backups in total saved I believe). However, the roll back might be "awhile ago" so there can be a bit of loss depending on how heavily you played, but it is better than starting over completely.
