While I agree mallards should have a plumage rework, I don’t think they need to be on 7 maps.

Instead of mallard for a returning waterfowl I’d say snow goose, harlequin (remodel would be nice for em), or northern pintail would be good options.

Or there could be another new species: brant, pink footed goose, barnacle goose, cackling goose, and red breasted merganser would all work for a Greenland map. Or for a more unique looking bird one of the 2 loon species could also be considered (common loon or red throated loon).

Technically these are leusistic as well but they could be references for albinos (tho I’m uncertain if albino common loons exist) might be better off calling them white or just having this as a 3rd leucistic variant.

If this wasn’t Greenland I’d say rare options could be a few variations of nanulak bears but they’d have to be stupid rare imo. But unfortunately I don’t know of any rares that would make sense for Greenland.

Albinos would never make it to adulthood as without their black skin they wouldn’t be able to keep warm properly… and nothing else has been documented….

So probably best they just have 3 common variations like cream, white, yellow, and maybe stained as an uncommon.
