I know everyone is wishing for a new Africa map, but I also know thats a freaking load of work for the devs to create a new Africa map thats going to make most people happy.
Hunting elephants, rhinos and giraffes is something most people want, but I also see the reason why they won't be added into the game in the future.
Hunting these animals down would need a new class 10, new weapons and a really really small amount of spawns on each map. Cause they are so damn big and need a ton of space. especially when u want to put multiple big species on one map.

So why not work on a new Africa map that comes with a ton of new, smaller species and some reworks for the old Africa map before attending to work on rhinos, giraffes, and elephants! Africa is a giant continent, and we only have one map for it yet, so instead of trying to push the devs to work on everything at once, let's give them some ideas for actual Africa maps that could be possible right now!

Here is a list of what animals I would add to the game and which animals should be also on this map, who already exist in the game and get a much needed overwork.

🌠 New animals featured on new map:
Riverine rabbit Level 1.
Suricates Level 1.
Red hartebeest Level 4.
Black Wildebeest Level 5.
⭐ *new added - Greater Kudu Level 6.
Endemic Cape Mountain Zebra Level 7.
Leopards Level 9.

🌠 Old animals featured on new map:
Blue wildebeest (comes with rework)
Lions (comes with rework)
Springbok (comes with rework)
Gemsbock (comes with rework)

I also based my choice of location for the map, based on those animals. Thats why i chose specifically Karoo and didn't just call it "new Africa map."
I have added some photos of Karoo to the post u can see below.

I would add another G1 with that opportunity, which could also be great for people to play more on the existing Africa map aswell.
My choice would be the Lion or the Gemsbok (Oryx)
That i choose Lions s pretty obvious, but why Gemsbok?
If you Google Gemsbok, its pretty hard to find any rare-looking ones, and as the artist I am, that's kind of tickling my brain. I love the Gemsbok, or hor they are called here, "Oryx". and I want to work on my own concept for a possible G1 for them.

I will update this feed every now and then! maybe I will be even working on my own concept art for them for some fur types!

Inspo for G1 Gemsbok (found on pinterest)
Since some Greatones we already have in the game, are also not that highly realistic, i will take on the chance for some cool but still realistic-looking coat variations,

Black Wildebeest would probably be my favorite newest addition.
I just love their appearance. and they also have a G1 potential i would say. so just in case i want to also work on a G1 for them, i want to post some inspo for them here. Their horns are showing forwards and the fluff on their face and chest is just so crazy cool.

And here some inspo for lions
The twist I would add to them is that the G1 are actually Females, cause yes, females can grow a Mane its just really really rare!
Maybe making like 3 male G1 Lions and 3 Female G1 Lions

This would be a really neat map. The only change I'd make is replacing the kessee kudu with the greater kudu

It'd be a nice appetizer as African maps go.

Could use maybe a few extra plains game species and especially some small game but overall I like the premise

Looks good. My gandparents lived in the Karoo many years ago and I used to visit every weekend or so, so I'm very familiar with the terrain and animals you find there. I think a missing species is definitley the Hyrax (Or more commonly known as the "Dassie" in South Africa.) They are a very cool animal and is very common in the Klein and Groot Karoo (Translates to Small and Big Karoo, but we don't use the English version.) Oh and definitley replace Lesser Kudu with Greater Kudu. They are not in South Africa, much less the Karoo.
