I want to switch from ps5 to a pc but the only thing holding me back is that I know I’m going to lose all of my diamonds and g1 and grinding setups which I’ve put in countless hours to obtain. If we could do something similar to what fortnight does and make it so when you first start playing cotw you make an account. Then when I get a pc I just buy cotw on it and log in and all of my stuff is there. It would make the transition from console to pc so much more worth it.

This is one of those ideas that sounds easy and straight forward on the surface but in reality could have significant technical hurdles....
Assuming that switching data and data formats from one platform to another is transparent. In other words there would be very little if any data conversion required from say PS5 to PC.
If this criteria was the case then offering a transfer as a cost basis service could make sense. But it should cost something and not be offered for free.
There is also a cost associated with designing, maintaining and guaranteeing that your data will survive the platform transitioning process ....
EW would have to decide what that cost would be and it may not be worth the cost for those wishing to transfer ....

To have cross play or cross files, they would have to rebuild the game completely and you'd probably lose all your saved data if they ever did that. A lot of people play on both console and PC. Unless you get rid of your PS5, your trophies will always be there.

Ya those are good points but the thing that really sucks is that ya I can will have my trophies on my ps5 but what I will be loosing is my hm that I have for mule deer black beer and wolfs that I’m averaging a diamond every 20 kills for wolf and bear and for mule deer every 10. And it just takes a lot of time and work to get it back to the state
