With the edition of the wild Haggis and the lesser known Wendigo on NEM, it shows the devs can be open to many ideas. I think it would be so cool to hunt extinct animals since we will never be able to see them in real life. Imagine being able to hunt species such as the cave lion, dodo bird, sloth bears, saber-tooth cats, and many other megafauna of the past that the only other chance we would be able to see them would be de-extinction efforts that might not happen in our lifetime. Just an idea I had it would probably take a long time to make because it would probably make the most sense to do an entire map of extinct animals rather than mixing it into the current maps.

Sloth Bears are well an alive, so I am assuming you meant short-faced bears (Arctodus from North America and Arctotherium from South America)

This would only work I'd it recently extinct animals or a sub spieces of a animal that was thought to go extinct. Or just make it a complete new game

Definitely not opposed to this idea…in its own game. COTW should remain a current day hunting game.
