Working on a big Google sheet that'll propose a more Classic style ammo integrity system and I'd like to make a group DM for making it as I know little about this sort of thing
@ruby tendon is the one I'll ping first as they seem to know the most about this but anyone else can come in
Here's the system I'm proposing
Red: Absolutely not
Yellow: You could but it's dicey
Green: Perfect

This is definitely a step above the current system. For all the animals listed on this pic you can use any shotgun using birdshot or the .22 Long Rifle and .22H ammunition.
They would be ideal since its very little pelt damage or meat loss but effectively harvests the animal.
Aside from the beaver. They're not something bird shot from any shotgun would be good for but the rifle rounds will work well. For beaver I recommend buckshot of any gauge or .223/ .22-250 and .22H the most
