For those of us who can't remember, especially in the heat of the moment, whether a bird you've just spotted can be taken on the ground or must be taken in the air only, why not have the UI bring up a message, same as it does when doggo walks across your shot, alerting you if the bird can only be taken in the air. You could still go ahead and shoot it, and you would still lose the medal, but this way you wouldn't need to have a list of 'not on the ground' birds sellotaped to the side of your monitor.

I like the grounded mechanic as it is. It was hard when the birds were still in the air and were classed as grounded though. If we still had that I'd likely agree with you. As it is there is a focus on the player to make sure its not as easy as it could be. It's personal to me but i like that challenge.
One thing that would make that better would be having the trophy rating, instead of having the varying number have "grounded" take its place
theyre only suggesting to have a little indicator as to whether the bird has to be flying. i forget if smth has to be flying for the trophy or not a lot and love shooting them in the air but sometimes i just want to play it safe.
theyre not suggesting to change the trophy mechanic itself, just a little thing in the box which shows up when you spot telling u it cant be ethical while grounded
I get that and thats what im saying, most people check the trophy rating and when they see grounded being the main trophy indicator while also being able to see the underlying trophy score
I suppose it’s just the challenge. I’d not like it changed, might have taxied a few that I left over the years.
Edit- sorry miss read.
I suppose that’s not too bad but… do we really need it to be easier?
i dont think it makes it easier as such, you still have to shoot them flying if they need to and dont have to if they can be shot grounded. its just an in the moment reminder to make sure you get the trophy
Sounds like making it easier to me.
