Ok im a UK peep and a few things got me and i wanted to see how others felt.

**Missed a chance for a new dog: **Scotland has its own Majestic deer hound, bred for coursing red deer, and powerful bird dogs like the black-and-tan Gordon Setter, known for navigating tough terrains to hunt game, alongside various terriers such as the Border Terrier and Cairn Terrier, used for vermin eg rats.

Wrong animals and scales: even hunted ones have protections in UK eg pine martins have full protection and cant be trapped or hunted with out a legal permission. some rare game birds are the same ,eg capercaillie. Badgers are not a hunted spieses in uk infact they have protection (controled cull for tb
Minknon native
Red deer and silka can cross breed so we infact have a hybrid, which is classed as a serious issue .
Red deer in highlands have smaller antlers than low land deer due to the weaker diets.

Missed chance for new animals: Could have had pests like wood pidgen, rats with new challenges eg shoot 50 wood Pidgeon in fields, shoot 100 rats in barns (and introduced terrier dogs as driving dogs for these challenges they could do mink hunts , around the locs cormants, Mallards ptarmigan's on the list or snipe.

Missed chance for educational message:
Could have brought in pest control challenges and explained that not all hunting is for blood sports & trophies, how controlled hunting protects crops/supports local people, eg feed the poor.

** Sell at a shop Shop:**
Be able to sell kills for parts to get rewards perks and points would also be part of education side eg, sell antlers for crafts (buttons) or dog chews, bones to ceramistsits & painters (eg bone black) sell hides to tanners, sell meat to homless shelters.

Hunting Lodge Upgrade for Pelts
Mounts take up room so have hides as rugs or wall mounts. to appricate

(if you bring in badgers your going to have to bring in honey badgers to the African map and wolverines to Americas)

Mink are invasive, hence the addition, just like feral goats and pigs on every other map

And they threw the "protected species" thing out of the window since sundar. Most species in there are protected in Nepal and woodland caribou are protected in alberta where askiy is set

One of the reasons why you’re not allowed to release sika or mainland red deer onto the islands

#

Sika are also a problem because they are hyper effective at feeding and putting on body mass and they do a lot of raiding + they can push red deer out of areas they used to own. Sikka are also the only deer in the UK that has fat up to 2 inches thick in some places on the outside of the cavity between the skin and flesh to the point where in some cases if you don’t shoot them with 300 WinMag you will not find them very easily

Basically they love to break into tree plantations and eat the bark of the trees during the winter often resulting in the trees being very damaged and having reduced mass. reds also do this but they’re not as much of a problem because nature Scott loves to kill them

Uk deer do not behave like other deer there are simply too many for them to be treated like something special that you shoot once in a year I know guys who will shoot hundreds in one year and it’s more sustainable than farming cows sheep or any of those other fellas for meat. And those tree farmers spend too much time trying to farm the trees so seldom do they actually do the shooting usually it’s down to whoever has permission on the property or if nobody is doing that nature Scott comes in and kills the majority regardless of any predetermined plans unless you contact them very early before they make any move toward your area and you can show them that you have a very good deer control program

#

On top of this the open hill causes reds to suffer due to the lack of sustenance making them have to do the raids resulting in them being killed now think of that what you may but don’t act like this is some hunky-dory in good number population they are far out of control particularly the sika if not shot they will eat themselves to death and these plantations have fences at least 2 m tall and many cases most of the time it’s good enough to keep them out and they go elsewhere for food but they do occasionally get in and then they have to be dealt with it’s simply farming

The whole "Selling kills at a Shop" point seems a bit much for COTW considering its not a full on simulator but instead a Simcade (I have seen people here and on reddit describe COTW as such) and from your describing for that point its basically a lot of work that could be better spent on other features like improving Trophy Lodges in preperation for future African Reserve (And making new animal models for future reserves set in Africa, the Arctic and other more exotic areas) and speaking of Trophy Lodges I will agree that "Rug Mounts" that can either be placed on the floor or the wall would be a fantastic additon, especially for showing off rares

But from what I know the only place that I would call them a past is when they’re in large numbers in the summer right before the harvest
