I hunt turkey IRL and they do not smell you at 20+ yards, or even closer. Need to adjust or take away their sense of smell. Very aggravating when I'm in a blind and when the wind blows in a turkey's direction they fly away 😡

Their eyesight is so good that they can see you even inside the ground blind when they’re close.

Not at 50+ yards, and I had turkeys in the game when the wind is in my favor walk right up to me before getting spooked, this is entirely with the sense of smell in the game, not sight

yeah, avians have an extremely poor sense of smell and taste.

Yep, only exceptions are some vultures, kiwis, some storks, and some tubenoses
