they would be the ultimate hunting dog we can use them to track
fluch out class 1 animals like get hares out of the burows and with 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 map it would get the badgers out off the burrows
and retive class 1 animals

here are some good advantiges of the beagle

Hunting with beagles offers advantages like their exceptional sense of smell, innate hunting instincts for small game like rabbits, and unique baying vocalization that keeps hunters informed. Beagles are also small and adaptable, making them easy to transport and capable of hunting in various climates and terrains. They are energetic, persistent, and have a friendly nature, which can make them good companions on the hunt.

Exceptional scenting ability: Their highly developed sense of smell is superior for tracking scents, particularly in dense environments.
Natural hunting instincts: Originally bred for hunting rabbits and hares, they possess innate instincts that require minimal training for this purpose.
Advantageous size: Their medium to small size allows them to navigate dense bushes and narrow trails, and makes them easier to transport.
Distinctive baying: Their unique baying bark is a valuable communication tool, letting hunters know where they are and when they have found game.
Relentless energy and determination: They have the stamina to keep up with game for long periods, maintaining a steady pace suitable for long hunts.
Adaptable to various conditions: Beagles can hunt effectively in different climates and terrains, such as cold, wet weather or rocky ground.

I'd love to have beagles, but what "job" do they do in game terms? The bloodhound tracks; the retriever retrieves, and the pointer points and flushes. What would be the game purpose for the beagle? Just coursing rabbits? Or just (essentially) a new variant of the pointer, with no actual new features?

I am just trying to understand what their role would be other than they are lovely dogs.

There is a post about this theme with more details.

# vernal wind I guess you mean the dachshound dlc post ?

No. It’s JJ’s thread. The link is posted here.
The beagle doesn’t enter burrows. The beagle is mainly selected for rabbit hunting.
I would like to have a beagle to help me find rabbit burrows—or even just rabbits and hare species—because it’s hard to locate them across the entire map.

# lucid iron i cant lie but why add an entire other dog for this use? this could just be anot...

Because this is realistically how beagles hunt ... They don't point like pointers do they chase and keep the quarry moving ...

The target of the chase (rabbits, foxes ... whatever ) will usually return back to where it was originally jumped (usually a borough ) ....

The mechanics of the chase alone would require a new DLC .... I personally wouldn't mind paying for a chase dog DLC with a beagle / foxhound model ....

I thinking adding beagles to the game be a great idea. A new dog that can spoke out game out dens. Be great for rabbits or badgers. Be nice to have them chase game to you when they get higher level.
I know some people think three dogs is enough but I say why not another. Dont want it, dont buy it.
