Ever since Askiy came out, I have been extremely annoyed by the fact that none of the new birds sound as they should, the pintail and wood ducks sound like mallards, the snow geese sound like Canada geese, and, worst of all, the dusky grouse sound like black grouse. This problem didn’t start with Askiy though, as the magpie geese also sound like greylags. This is extremely immersion-breaking and just ruins the experience of hunting these species, if they could be given their proper sounds, I and many others would be far more motivated to hunt them.

I would like to throw my hat in the ring for gray foxes getting proper sounds too. I forget if the Tibetan foxes were updated, but I do not believe they would just be copy/paste of red foxes either, though unlike the gray fox I cannot say with 100% certainty.

Yeah I’m sure there are a lot of species with the wrong sounds, the birds are just the only ones I’ve really noticed

Hog deer using roe deer vocalizations always annoys me, as well as the myriad species using reused audio, but my biggest issue is with females of a species sharing the same call with males.
There is no reason for a red deer hind to be roaring at me, what’s worse is they roar significantly more than stags due to lower level animals being far more vocal. IRL red deer hinds are fairly mute apart from the occasional bleat when fawning or barking when alarmed.
