Southeastern Alaska is home to a wealth of unique environments and associated species (including small game) making a fantastic analogue to Salzwiesen Park but a a full-sized reserve. As such, it will be small-game oriented but has potential for large game species (terrestrial and aquatic) as a full-sized map. Some of the returning species will be reskins of comparable animals due to similarities between species such as marten.

Ngl Sitka blacktail should be class 3 but regardless good concept

Having bigger game like grizzlies and stone sheep on a small map would be a bit weird tho

maybe more diving ducks

hold on, editing time

i can see full potential for this as a full -sized reserve with the listed big game animals I put in here but i'd much prefer a salzwiesen esque smaller reserve just chock full of upland birds, diving ducks, and furbearers

I don’t think mountain lion belongs on this map 😭 otherwise great

Stone’s Sheep don’t live in Alaska at all and cougars are not yet established a breeding population in Alaska and the vast majority of Moose in Alaska are Alaskan Moose

Mountain Goats on the other hand are a good fit for a full-sized map and since your including Sea Otters I would also suggest a pinniped species like Harbour Seal

If you want a larger predator species I can suggest the Alexander Archipelago Wolf or Coastal Wolf (Canis lupus ligoni)

Ngl I didnt even notice mtn lion and forgot stone sheep dont reach there 😭

I was kinda paying attention to the new stuff

Would sitka not be a new species? Pretty sure the blacktail on Layton are Colombian no?

steep sun

almost everything would be class 1 and class 2

In that case I’d consider adding sandhill crane

Most recent edit to remove sharp-tailed grouse as I cannot find evidence of them inhabiting the southeast of Alaska, only the central regions in the yukon area per Alaska Fish & Game

I originally also had sharp-tailed grouse in this BUT there's no evidence of them in the Juneau area or really the entire southeast; its just sooty, spruce, and ptarmigans

also thanks lmao

sharp-tailed would be neat and all but spruce grouse are cool enough for the both of them lol

I upvoted for this being a full sized map. Would rather not see any more small maps personally, plus the animals it could have would definitely support a larger map. The more Biomes the better imo.

The Grizzly in Yukon is supposed to be the inland version (they do need a remodel badly) and are smaller than their coastal cousins, so imo they should be split with different names, models, and weights. (Recent DNA analysis has suggested there are only two grizzly subspecies being Ursus arctos horribilis (the Grizzly Bear) and Ursus arctos middendorffi (the Kodiak Bear). So if we ever get the Kodiak I think they should be split as Costal, Inland, and Kodiak to accurately portray their population’s traits per map.
