Map backfills that need more animals or lacking some

A lot of older maps and new maps lack a lot of species that could be backfilled so I made a list of things to backfill for the maps that REALLY got the short end of the stick or are lacking a few species

Animals with (?) are listed as unsure if they should be included due to map density or practicality

Medved taiga : rock ptarmigan, black grouse, mountain hare, Red fox (?)

Yukon valley : willow ptarmigan, rock ptarmigan, Dall sheep (new), American mink (when it releases)

Mississippi acres : Mallard, Goldeneye, Gadwall, Wood Duck, Northern pintail, American black duck (new), American wigeon (new), Coyote, Bobcat (?), American mink (when it releases), Red fox (?)

Sundarpatan : Axis deer, Sambar

Hirschfelden : Capercaillie, Mallard (?), European hare (?), Eurasian badger (when it releases), Gray wolf (?) Alpine ibex (new) (?)

Cuatro colinas : Red fox, Eurasian badger (when it releases)

Layton lakes : Red fox (?), Rocky Mountain bighorn (?), Common raccoon , American mink (when it releases), Bobcat (?), Wood duck (?), Ring necked pheasant (?)

Emerald coast : European rabbit

Ranch del arroyo : Gray fox

Silver ridge peaks : Wood duck, Coyote, Red fox, Raccoon (?), Bobcat (?).

Te awaroa : rocky mountain elk

There may be some that don’t belong in certain places or some that I didn’t list btw

Rancho could also use coues deer(wt replacement), bison and a ton of waterfowl and uplands
sundar could get sloth bear and bar headed goose
Sambar on te would be cool too
And coyotes would be cooler on srp than foxes imo

No to mallard and gray Wolf on hirdchfelden, they should add mouflon and chamois instand.

If they want to add something to the east badgers, pochards, gray patridges and many more would do very well.

Good idea but Te awaroa : rocky mountain elk???

There is a population of Rocky Mountain Elk in New Zealand and more specifically in Fiordland National Park, they did hybridize a bit with the red deer but for the most part a lot of them look like elk

They’re technically not a Rocky Mountain elk anymore but a hybrid population between the red deer and RM elk, they call em Fiordland wapiti (the red deer influence is very evident in their antlers)

Plain Bobcats unfortunately won’t be seen on another map besides New England Mountains as that’s the only “unique” species it has

Any pure Rocky Mountain Elk have been long gone since Red Deer started inhabiting the area or increased in population density. But honestly it's pretty cool because I can't think of any other circumstance where such deer have bred to create a mix.

Yes they definitely deserve a spot in game as unique species, as much as I enjoy Rocky Mountain Elk (though they need some help model and antler wise in game) they shouldn’t be the species that’s represented in New Zealand

Coyote also for Yukon Yes There are Coyotes in Alaska

Askiy Ridge: Cougar/Puma/Mountain Lion, Grizzly Bear, Coyote, Rock Ptarmigan, Willow Ptarmigan, and Maybe Wild Boar

I think chamois are gonna be stuck on Te Awaroa (they’re the only unique species left on the map) unless they add the Fiordland wapiti to be the new unique species anyway which would be welcome imo

Am I the only one who thinks they should be remodeled or updated? I've always loved Chamois with their Autumn or Winter coats but we only have the Summer coat in game ( as much I as I love it too ) I reckon even just adding more furs would bring something cool to them.

They could also add some small game species like Puekeko, Paradise Shelducks and Wallabies or a big game animal like Arapawa Sheep would give Te Awaroa a new unique species

Oh sweet. I used to have an obsession with Montana when I was slightly younger, was even my favourite state but not as of now ( still pretty up there definitely top five )

I must say you're quite well educated especially when you were talking about Wapiti in Fiordland because that's not something an awful lot of people ( outside of hunters in NZ and some internationals ) so I had assumed you must've been a Kiwi.

If we ever get into contact with one another sometime in the future 2028+ I'd be more than happy to show you around and maybe even some hunting as well if you're ever interested and have the opportunity ( not making promises though since I don't know where I'll be then )

Also thanks, I was majoring in environmental science for a brief stint (sadly best I left that behind with the state of the US atm) and I’m currently working towards a field in MRI but I’ve always excelled in zoology and still go digging for info in my free time. That is the good thing yeah, i cant deny those are very good bird species to have unique to it. Alltough 3 is a little low in my opinion. Dont sundar have like 9 unique to it?

Both sundar, vurhonga, and emerald are unfortunately outliers in that regard most maps are 6 or less unique species, with New England being the lowest with technically only having one (the bobcat) though Rancho has the Mexican bobcat.

Says on wiki sundar has 10 unique ones, alltough it also says tahr is unique wich is false, so it might be not updated. If thats the case i apologize.

Technically it’s down to 8 now that Scotland has the wooly hare but yeah I said sundar is an outlier that has more than 6

Yeah, thats what i think is a little bad how those 3 are so superior in that regard and then askiy just objectivly being almost too good species wise, hence my conclusion on the relevancy of some other reserves
