from all that i have heard the post feeders with flake mix attract hares and rabbits and since i was struggling with the 50 rabbits on Salzwiesen i tried setting up post feeders within 20-50m of active warrens but they are being completely ignored.the feeders have almost emptied completely and i see the occasional rabbit by the warrens but not one has approached the feeders. are the feeders to close or do they just not work on Salzwiesen park?
#do post feeders work in Salzwiesen?

the post feeders gradually drop food over time no matter if an animal is feeding, not sure why it’s not working for you, how close are you putting it to their warren?
I’ll do some testing myself after work as well I haven’t tried Salzwiesen personally.
After some testing I don’t believe European rabbits come into feeders at all, and might have been mistakenly stated to as the other rabbit and hare species do, mainly as the other species are not locked to burrows and have feeding zones.
European rabbits are locked to burrows and don’t have feed zones so I don’t think they are able to travel like other animals can and with no feeding behavior they probably aren’t attracted to a “feed zone”.
I tested on Salzwiesen and Te Awaora neither place had them interested in feeders even when they were less than 25m away. So I’m not sure if this is a bug, or mistaken reporting + it’s working as intended.
Have you managed to get them to come in? Cause I tested both feed types and they don’t seem to, I’ve had luck with both antelope jackrabbit, white-tailed jackrabbit, and the eastern cottontail (haven’t tested anything else but the euro rabbit)
No haven't tried yet with them but the feeders are suppose to work with them, maybe if you put far from the zone 300m, can you attract multiple zones.
You think it spawns in burrows? Or just plops them (the rabbits) on top of the feeder?
Depends, one lives in a burrow and the other lives in the open.
European rabbits is the specific species we’re trying to figure out I know the “open” species work
I don't know, but i'm gonna fallow this discussion cause i want to know too.
And did EW release a full species list or do we only have the ones made by content creators and fans?
You mean in Salzweisen?
No sorry I meant for the feeders, a what they attract list
I just gave you one, minute i'll get the other 2.
I don’t need the ones from the content creators I’m asking if EW made one, if there’s an official one not from a YouTuber or streamer
EW??? I'm french i don't understand your abreviations.
Expansive Worlds the studio that makes the game
Maybe Expensive Worlds or Steam.
It's kinda like how the devs never actually tell us all the fur types for any animal and it's up to us to find them and also (unless you use third-party apps) to figure out potential rarity. Feeders are like that, they just gave us the tools and said go nuts, so content creator guides and maps are the best we as a community can get 🙂
I figured, just trying to get clarity on this species is all. The guy above seemed confident in the list at first which is why I was curious if there was an official announcement about it that I missed
I had a pole feeder about 300m away from where I was turkey hunting, and I had hares come up to me. 🤷♂️ 😆
There’s not a map that has European Rabbits and turkeys on it aside from Te Awaroa and I haven’t had rabbits show at a feeder there ever… we are talking about European Rabbits the only species that uses burrows in the game
There’s not turkeys on Salzwiesen…
Exact didn't find a map of turkey.
My point was you weren’t hunting European rabbits which is the species we are trying to figure out European Rabbits and European Hares are different species
There's not map that has both, it's by species.
I know
We already know the hares come in to feeders we are trying to figure out if the European Rabbits do
The European Hares when you investigate a burrow a small icon appears on the map but it goes away when you quit the game.
That is European Rabbits, European Hares do not use burrows and are only found on Cuatro Colinas
For the rabbit i'll have to try.
