New GOs can be really exciting, and I have 3 cases for which animals I think could be it

1. Roe Deer
Roe deer could make an appearance on this map, and a great one of this species could be a cool concept. Although there is a chance that Roe Deer wont make an appearance in Scotland, the same thing happened with Black Bears getting a GO when Revontuli came out. The Great One can have long curly, racks with some having spikes around it, like a combination of Great One Mule Deer and Great One Whitetail racks. The furs for it could be related to a certain theme that ties with the new Scotland map, like a Celtic Mythology theme. I think the Roe Deer is the favorite to be the new great one, but it could always be something else.

2. Wild Boar
We know that wild boar could make an appearance of the new map thanks to the leaks of the redesign in the feeders pack, so there could also be a chance for it to be the new great one. The theme could be more of a continental theming, with different furs aligning to the region of the continent, like an Arid like fur for Africa and a snowy one for Asia or North America. The tusks could also have different variations with some extruding out very long while others could have multiple extruding spikes on the tusks. The wild boar is a second best option for me, but not the clear favorite.

3. A new animal
It could also possibly be a new animal we don't know yet that's coming out with TTòrr nan Sithean, like how the Tahr was very new to the game with Sundarpatan and it got a Great One. Another possibility of a new animal coming with Tòrr nan Sithean could be either the European Badger or American Mink. Although I would like to speculate what theming for the great one could be for this new species, we don't have a lot of information about the new animals in the reserve, so Im not going to speculate the theming. I will post an update on which new species I think it could beonce the full species list is revealed

Roe deer will be like a fox g1. Super rare g1. Even most of hard core grinders will never see all of variants.

What about a feral goat great one?

I was thinking about it, and why else would it be the second species to be revealed in the trailer?

Roe Deer and Boar make the most sense to me, but I think Mink could be a dark horse. They're farmed for their fur and can come in a wide variety of colors. They would be a pain to grind for since they're normally solitary animals, but that could be an interesting one.

I find roe deer and wild boar and feral goat the candidates.

It would be almost insulting for Feral Goat to get a Great One before either Roe Deer or Wild Boar.

If I had to pick it would be Roe or Boar. Both have been highly requested for a G1 variant & they both are in need of reworks from the base games GAME list. If it were me I'd choose Roe Deer, however hogzilla has a good thought to it as well.

I like hunting Roe so I wouldn't mind them as G1, but we don't have any Pigs, Cats, or Cows so it might be time

I could see it being a possibility on a separate location that could be goat heavy but honestly I think Rams or Bighorns would likely get 1 over Feral Goats. Though I'm still waiting for a Hare or Rabbit, as much as ppl dread the thought, n yes I genuinely would be fine with it.

I have a feeling the "new" GO is actually meant to be ANOTHER variant for Red Deer GO, as the species is supposed to be remastered and has only one GO type so far.

However I wish Roe Deer is one of the 5 remastered ones AND the one having a GO. Roe Deer really deserves more love and it's waiting so long.

I’d gladly take a GO cinnamon stripes over a jackalope every day of the week

People think the striped mule deer stands out in a lodge just wait until we get a jackalope 💀

Adding stuff onto the mounts I don’t mind like hats at all

But if it’s the actual animal itself is what I have an issue with

The great ones (despite how much I hate the mule deer furs for not keeping inline with the rest of them) have the basic anatomy of the real animal….antlers on a rabbit is where I draw the line

For a GO rabbit they’d have to specify which species since we have two base game lagomorphs now

For the jackrabbits I’m not sure

But for the euro rabbits having them based off of domestic breeds would be the best bet imo since hutch rabbits can escape from time to time

Not to mention domestic rabbit breeds come in many colors, patterns and even hair lengths

That would be my pick if I chose would be the EU Hare. Unless EW adds Flemish rabbits then I think it would be interesting.

However if they did make the GO euro rabbits based off of domestic breeds I think it would the worst one to hunt due to guilt lol

GO euro rabbits I think would be the first to be added given how easy these things are to hunt, the tent changes didn’t affect the euro rabbits at all and you can place tents ontop of them and they won’t spook

@bleak finch Believe me I would love to have Roe Deer as well, but I also hunt pigs alot to an Hogzilla sounds pretty cool to. But truthfully if any of the new G1's turn out like the Mule Deer G1's I'll be just as happy with the plain jane reworked models. I'm not trying to have a trip to Wonderland in my lodge.

I dont disagree with that in the slightest & 100% agree it would be better as a US G1 release where it makes sense to. I Truly would prefer Roe to get the Honors for Scotland's release. But it still doesn't change the fact it could be 1 or the other or more over EW's call when its said n done. All i was saying was if it was pigs/boar hogzilla is what comes to mind. I also just dont want to see more wonderland fantasy G1 non-sense. An if their were, I'd never put them in my lodge if I seen them in my gameplay.

But I'm pretty confident all the core EU Med-Lrg Game will be in the new map. Call it a hunch given EW's trend between the US & EU releases. Which means Red Deer, Roe Deer, Fallow Deer, Sika Deer, Boar, Red Fox, & EU Hare. Theres probably a wigeon or some quack as well 😂

If we get wild boar as a new GO I really hope they don’t just give it unique colours. imo a GO boar should be a class higher and like ~600lbs

Speaking of the next new Great One Red Deer, will a collection of new G1 variants replace the old Great One Red Deer model now that they’re adding new remastered models of Red Deer?
