My suggestion is very easy.. Get in touch with the company GAIM and do a joint adventure so we can use GAIM system on your Game and specific areas!
https://www.gaim.com/de

GAIM has bad graphics but a well made concept and accurate shooting behave. Its perfect for real life hunters to train their skills with low costs.
CotW on the other hand has pretty good graphics, but not everytime a functional game and shooting feels often bad.

I would love to see a joint adventure, maybe some "in-game"-implementation of the system in CotW. This would even higher the sellings of CotW for real life hunters and would be a "win-win" situation for BOTH companies!

implementing another engines features would take years especially on a game thats been worked on for 7+ years with lots of DLC and its own baked in features, this would not be a win-win situation it would cost manpower that could be spent elsewhere

it seems you dont really know anything about joint adventures.. also your profile is a little bit weird.... seems to be a troll

literally just sharing my opinion, all that extra money and manpower spent on the joint adventure would be better spent elsewhere

While the idea may be meant well and so on, I dont think it'd work out all that well. It'd be like implementing VR, but harder, at this point

This would take countless resources and isnt really feasible

Its worth considering none the less. Even if its not applied in the current title it doesn't hurt to apply it in next gen. I get ppl love TH:CotW but its not going to keep going forever running on an outdated engine. Not to mention its supporting Xbox One & PS4 that'll likely be phased out soon in the next year or 2. All I'm saying is keep an open mind.

As long as people keep buying, EW will keep going with cotw

# rustic thunder as far as im led to believe this game is nowhere close to finished with plans th...

I'm not saying it wont but it will get phased out eventually & EW will have to upgrade at somepoint is all I'm saying. I dont disagree it'll take time & resources. Jaxy made it pretty clear that they would have to anyway at some point & hes not wrong. @exotic helm - Even so that has nothing to do with console support. I cant speak on Sony Platforms but I can on Xbox. Support to older gens do get shutdown to focus on newer gen systems. Games might still be playable if you own them but once its cut-off what you have is it unless you get the next gen. Which in this case would be the S/X & whatever the next one will be. Another option that often happens is a remastered ver. Point is EW will need to optimize or develope a new title in the end if PS4 & Xbox One is cut-off.

TH:CotW is 8yrs old that launched on the PS4 & Xbox One. Ofc it carried to the S/X as a One title. All my point is is that once those systems are no longer supported EW will have to upgrade to accommodate the S/X & new xbox. I would presume Sony would as well but I cant confirm since I dont own one. Now PC will likely keep going no matter what as its expected to. Remember the game is divided into separate clients so EW will most likely be forced to upgrade things at some point.

The idea of it is awesome and I doubt anyone would be opposed to it, but its totally unachievable due to the age of the game, sadly.

# rustic thunder you never have to upgrade to match new hardware, you have to downgrade in order ...

I think you misunderstand what I'm saying, bc I never said it would kill the game. All I said was support will eventually end on xbox One and PS4. EW will still support the title however Console online support does get cut off after so long when new gen consoles are released. Jaxy even said that they havn't done anything to optimize it to allow continued support/service to the One & PS4. If EW was to optimize it now to S/X it will no longer be available on the Xbox One unless you play it through the cloud. 360 Titles for ex. are playable but servers are shutdown so its just the base game. Now to be clear content is still available if its a backwards compatible title. But if the game isn't its a shell meaning what you have or bought is it. PC will not be affected to what becomes of the 2 console clients.

im pretty sure they've even stated that they would not pull support for the game on old consoles and have no plans to optimize. but even if they did, theres absolutely no way i see them leaving behind old gen users especially when all you hear about is people wanting this game to continue on older hardware because they cant afford to upgrade

Just popping in to say online (in this game) is peer to peer… it’s very unlikely that feature would get shut off for older gens. There aren’t servers for them to shut down

# rustic thunder considering that xbox consoles are now generationally linked to the same network...

Yea with Sony its a toss up. & I'm not denying the current xbox gens are similar but they are not the same. I'm merely speculating its a possibility based on what Xbox has done with various changes from 360 to current. We're in the dark on what to expect with the New Generation since their hasn't been anything to confirm what changes will occur. But the One will likely get phased out at some point & carried to the Series just as the Original Xbox did to the 360 & the 360 to the One. I'm not ruling it out. Sure EW will continue support but if Xbox does Phase out the One EW will be forced to adapt & again Jaxy said it himself the company will if that time comes, thats how it is in the industry. We all know that. Its not really up to the players or EW if a client makes changes thats the point I'm making. Will it happen 🤷‍♂️ who knows it yet has to be seen. If I'm honest TH:CotW will likely reach its last supported content before hand and EW will most likely move fwd to a new title on the generation. Worse case consoles will come to a close & PC lives on, I doubt that'll happen but I'm not ruling it out either.

I'm talking about online support not servers. The original Xbox & 360 have no support. Its a shell, if you were to try to play multiplayer online on those consoles you cant even the peer to peer wont work bc it requires an online connection. The only feature that might still work is by lan line connection & ofc split-screen if the title had it. I'm pointing out it is a possibility that the One could also be phased out at some point after the next gen console releases. I'm not saying it will but it could.

But more over on the topic of the OP it is a bit late to consider for this title but EW could consider a joint on a new title.

• a person who opposes or rejects popular opinion or current practice, especially in stock exchange dealing. - "Hardly" & its fine if you believe TH:CotW will run for years past the 10yr threshold as this has no effect on the PC Client, but this will more than likely be addressed for the other 2 clients in the future. If it doesn't it doesn't bother me in the slightest bc I expect EW to release a new title by then. I find it difficult to believe EW will only focus on TH:CotW but its not unheard of. If in fact that is the case then the game will be updated to keep up with the times.
