#Make so a ps5 player can play with someone on pc

The devs have already said that this is never going to happen. Crossplay is something that needs to be implemented when the game is being developed, and is essentially impossible to add into the game beyond that.
Unfortunately the process to do this in already built games is extremely complicated if not impossible in some cases. At the very least it takes years of work to make it feasible then there are many bugs and issues that can keep it from being functional for even longer.
it's not impossible. yes it is a little more difficult to implement after the game is released but several companies have been able to do it. they would have to make cross saves a thing which in of itself would be amazing so you dont have to buy all the content again if you decide to play on another console. they would have to have dedicated servers to enable players to have/make an expansive worlds account and then link/sync your save data to that account and require you to login to your expansive worlds account on launch. the issue is right now all save data is client side and not server side hence the need for dedicated servers. the other issue with this is modders in the PC community so they would also need to implement an anti-cheat that scanned the population and equipment files when hosting a lobby and when a player joins a lobby so that way you dont join a lobby where every animal is a G1 and players cant have 100 round magazines etc. so it is possible but requires allot more work and resources.
I think the issue is the game is from 2017, first of all, and second of all it runs on their Apex engine, which, to my knowledge, is only used by Expansive Worlds/Avalanche, games such as Mad Max or Just Cause. So it may be easy do to on a more widely-used engine, but perhaps they just don't have the tools to go in after the fact and implement something as big a feature as this on Apex.
Angler had cross-play but it was built with it in mind, theHunter just had basic multiplayer.
