Twice now I have run into the issue where I have been planned for admittedly, a good two or three hours straight and it stops letting me harvest any animal that I collect I can still shoot and kill them. I can still pick up zones and read trails I just cannot harvest the animalwithout a restart. I have researched this online and I found similar issues but none involving when you can actually still see the animal line dead on the field that seems to be unique my situation.

I've had the same problem a couple of times. The game behaves perfectly normal except for the detail that you can't harvest. A dog can fetch as normal, but you can't pick them up.
Sometimes it can be solved by fast traveling to another location and running back, but most of the time the game has to be restarted.
I have created a support ticket on the issue. Maybe you can do the same. The more tickets that come in on the same issue, the faster a solution will come.

@grave crane but for me, if i pull out the ingame camera, it disrupts the claiming feature and makes it not show up, but if you simply pull the camera out again, it fixes it. I’m not sure if this is what’s happening to yall, but it’s possible!
