Community Transparency

As we start to approach the winter map, I wanted to talk about the somewhat messy release of Askiy Ridge and community transparency as a whole. Despite being mine and many others favourite map, a lot of people were initially disappointed with the release of Askiy Ridge due to expecting the long awaited arctic reserve. While it’s understood that the devs felt they wouldn’t be able to properly do that setting justice, I feel that more transparency with community about what we can realistically expect would both lead to more reasonable expectations a better appreciation for the hard work the devs at EW are doing.
Long awaited features like squirrels and an increased render distance not being in the game is something that although disappointing, has been relatively accepted by the community at large due to the devs clearly communicating that that just isn’t possible at the current time.

TLDR; more transparency between EW and the community would help manage expectations and better appreciate the hard work the devs are doing

There's also the issue with the Outrider .30-30, it was shown with two new ammunition designs that were entirely distinct from what's in the base game as well as being presented as an actual upgrade from base game Whitlock.

In reality its less that 5 points in difference in all the weapon stats and didn't introduce new ammunition at all

As soon as people got exited for an artic map they did say it wasn't an Artic map, but I agree maybe a more clear Road map could help BUUUT It will never get people to stop complaining with a full year road map I see people saying "Guess I'll quit for the full year since its not Africa 2.0"

I’d just like more clarity on what bugs are logged in their system when you go to their known issues list there’s a ton of bugs that are stated as logged if you dig through the #1062059141436297246 channel but aren’t on this list for some reason. Like on New England when you fast travel to Forgotten Pond Cabin it sends you to the wrong location, this has been stated to be a known issue, and yet it’s not on the list? Why?

What exactly is stopping them from doing 2.0? They've already said that they could do more Africa maps so why not go for one in the summer and ask for feedback?

People are going to complain no matter what they do so why not go for it and see what changes they need if any?

Post a list of plains game and predators as a survey, explain that elephant and rhino aren't in the cards yet, post surveys for a new lodge to display bigger animals and use Africa 2.0 to lay the groundwork of Africa 3.0 and future content

That's why people are taking year long breaks, they don't want to pay for stuff they have no interest in.
I haven't bought anything since the scope dlc or the .375 rifle pack.

Was interested in the bait barrel for bears but they still only feed at night and I don't care for night hunting.

They honestly make more money if it didn't take so long between updates/dlcs.

Is EW working on COTW 2.0?

Doubt it, nothing like that has been announced, and what they have announced is dlc which is their focus I assume. Also the survey did not hint at anything like that either.

DLC that allows the player to change the caliber of a given rifle for a certain amount of credits per weapon.
E.G.
Huntsman .270 base price of 12000 credits
Change to
.30-06 for 12000 additional credits.

EW, please I think that if you guys would add an update for keyboard and mouse for console as most people play hunter called the wild on console and may attract more people to start a grind as it is easier to shoot multiple targets And it might grow the player base as most players prefer keyboard and mouse over controller.
