I will add further that the 45 calibre airgun could use some changes to be more suitable for animals like mule deer, wild boar and even wildebeest since it is the minimum calibre for hunting large game with an airgun in some US states like Idaho

A .45 caliber bullet weighs much more than a .357 bullet, it might be just a .10" of an inch smaller but it weighs much less and isn't nearly as destructive to small game like birds and rabbits
80grains for .357 caliber and 190 for .45 caliber

A 17 hmr is also pretty quiet compared to other guns plus,you could hunt probably up to class 3 with a 17

Dude, a .17hmr uses a 20 grain bullet. I've owned a .17hmr and .22 magnum. And I can tell you without any doubt that its loud AF, I got a game warden called on me because someone thought it was a centerfire rifle.

The class system is a mess, animals are in the wrong class and guns are way too restricted it causes so many misunderstandings for people who aren't very familiar with guns or hunting

Personal experience. The .17 will handle bobcats and coyotes, but anything bigger has a good chance to shrug it off. I shot a 40 something pound beaver that did, and it survived for a year after until I used a .22 magnum
