Weapon Suggestion: Chapuis Express Double Rifle

Hello Hunters and Devs,

I would love to suggest adding the Chapuis Express Double Rifle to The Hunter: Call of the Wild. This elegant side-by-side rifle would bring a classic and traditional touch to big-game hunting in the game. Chapuis is a renowned French manufacturer known for exceptional craftsmanship, balance, and precision.

The Chapuis Express would perfectly fit the immersive and realistic spirit of Call of the Wild. It would offer a new hunting experience compared to the current bolt-action or single-shot rifles. Calibers such as .375 H&H, 8*57jrs, or 9.3x74R would make it ideal for hunting large and dangerous animals like buffalo, lion, or bear.

With its refined wooden stock, detailed engravings, and smooth double-barrel action, this rifle would be both powerful and visually stunning. It could be part of a new Classic Safari Pack or Heritage Firearms DLC, providing two quick, powerful shots before reloading and adding even more depth to the hunting experience.

Is there another caliber it comes in? We have the Vallgarda .375, a double barrel .470 Nitro, and the 9.3×74mmR in a Drilling. Love the look of the gun, though! Maybe .416?

I'd be stoked to see more classic rifles, especially some classy doubles.

I think a 9.3×74R double rifle, either side by side or double and a touch up to the 9.3×74R stats is well overdue

I would also like to see some other big bire doubles like .500, .450/400 and .577/500

Also I hope if EW gives us a nice double rifle in a medium/ medium-large bore that we can at least put a propper scope on it

We're definitely going to need a few top end Class 9-10 guns with an assortment of sturdy optics for when Elephants, Hippos, and Rhinos (maybe) come to the game. But I also want to see some more variety in European Safari calibers and gun styles. I feel like there's still a lot of variety left to show, and this would be a great way to merge it into the game.

Ja I'd definitely love to see some more European calibers and rifles, both hunting and military surplus.

I know for me personally a 9.3×74R modeled after a Merkel or Kireghoff side by side, or even a O/U like in Hunter Classic

Also I foresee no issues with rhino, both black and white on a South African bushveld reserve as this photo was from a very recent hunt

If they add this i hope the caliber gets buffed against moose and some elk

If I had my way, 9.3×74R would be a class 3-9 and it would have very slightly less velocity and do slightly less damaged post impact than the .375 H&H

Then it'd be on par with the Hunter Classic's 9.3×74R which I've been waiting for since 2017/2018
