Able to switch from Console to Pc and adding cross play

I think that adding cross play to the game would be very beneficial. I have an Xbox that I’ve been playing COTW on for awhile and I have friends on PC that I wish I could play with. I think it would be a great addition to the game. Also a big thing I want to bring up is being able to like switch over from console over to pc. Sort of like account merging in a way but not exactly of that makes sense lol. Because I have an Xbox and it’s not cutting it anymore and I’d love to play on my PC because it runs so much smoother, but the one thing that is stopping me is losing all my hard earned trophies. So those are my two requests, being able to have cross play between different platforms, and being able to switch to different platforms without losing any trophies or progress.

It's not possible, it won't be added. It's already been officially confirmed.

The game was released in 2017 without multiplayer mode other than the system used by each platform that allows sharing the local Save file, it is not possible to change that.
The versions of each platform are not compatible with each other, nor are their save files since the data formats cannot be read on another operating system.
The studio does not have its own servers, installing its own requires a million-dollar investment and renting some in the EU and NA requires thousands of dollars per month for maintenance, the game does not have that amount of profit and players will not pay a subscription to maintain them.

Adding crossplay will require a re-release of the game and a change to the revenue monetary system, the expense is not justified.

I find it funny you say that when official stream during that time (even the beta) had a multiplayer mode clear as day on the menu, not to mention the fact that pre-release marketing had multiplayer as a core experience so it's odd that everyone says multiplayer was not a focus of the game at launch (holy run-on sentence, Batman).

But yes, the game would have to be completely re-worked to allow for cross-platform and cross-play.

My mistake, I meant: no multi platform version, only with Save file sharing system.
