#Please Consider My Idea For A Texas Map

Rationale:
Theoretically this map would be relatively simple to make given that Texas is incredibly diverse in its own before even factoring in the various species that have become invasive over the years, which from a game sense means you can create a map that has an entirely unique species list from any other North America map. If you want to make another North America map but don’t want to put too much of the same in the game Texas is a great option to give some flair

Species:
Rio Grande Turkey
Desert Cottontail Rabbit (different species than Eastern, smaller and faster)
Mourning Doves
American Black Duck/Blue Wing Teal
Axis Deer
Blackbuck
Collared Peccary/Feral Pig
Whitetail Deer
Aoudad Sheep
Mule Deer/Addax
Nilgai
Gemsbok/Scimitar Oryx
Rocky Mountain Elk/Tule Elk
Plains Bison

Geography:
If you base the area of a border region of the Hill Country and Texan Plains regions of the state, making simple wide spaces with arid hills/mountainous areas peppered throughout that you could build upon to make a map that combines the terrain of Askiy Ridge (save much less trees) with a climate and terrain of Rancho Del Arroyo

I know it’s entirely unorthodox for the method of delivering being Discord but I think the idea really has some (dove) wings!

I’d like to see some varmint like coyote, possibly add cougar, desert bighorn and pronghorn

I don't think this would be a good idea, as I would rather hunt most of these animals in their natural habitat, rather than a ranch. No matter the height if the fence or how much land it covers.

I think if you removed Gemsbok and replaced them with Scimitar Oryx, and then maybe added in Addax and some of the Texas Sheep Slam, this would be one of my favorite Texas ranch ideas.

Id love the idea of a game ranch but at the same time I dont want it to be just repeats

Oh wow, I also made a Texas ranch map before lol. This is good though. I really hope we get Texas in the game

Also could sub in Tule Elk for Rocky Mountain Elk since it’s been a think to import them in since many of the states with Tule populations have super tough to win drawings for tags normally, that way you get the N.A. Wapiti Slam

I think feeders make Exotic Game Ranches a reality in-game. Would also love to see feed manipulate antler growth and body size. Being able to set artificial water holes in hot climates and having better control of permanent blind/stand locations and customizations would be sweet too.

Also I know it was a fair few repeats, but I do think it would be cool to have a least a bit of that experience you can have on public land in Texas (it exists). I sat a place one time for fun and saw blackbuck, axis deer, four horn sheep, whitetail does, and feral cattle all drink from that area. Texas really is a place that captures the feeling of being at home in you can crush doves and whitetail/mulies/pigs while also feeling exotic and exciting like you were dropped into the South African Cape with a rifle and told “go nuts” with the amount of variety. I think to do Texas right part of that aspect needs to be there! I also think it’s a way to make an N.A. map with rehashing too much since no other map in the New World will have species from so many other maps outside of it (Parque, Emerald Coast, and Te Awaroa have that feeling a bit too which is why I love them). The idea of setting up a chain grind of Axis to Elk to Whitetail to Nilgai/Bison to Aodad to Blackbuck to Pig/Peccary just feels like it would be such a fun 24 hour hunt cycle. Chuck in the occasional setup at a spinner dove decoy setup or calling in Rio Grandes on a place that isn’t Rancho (no shade on my part, just too much brush making it for me) and it just feels nice.
