An idea I had after reading the dev post on the 3 feeders got be thinking and I’ve come up with a idea. The TruRGCS system or True Random Growth Configuration System is similar in principle to the TruRacs system but instead of being for antler it’s for bodily appearance such as weight, fur length, muscle mass, size/height and more. the idea behind the TruRGCS system is to add that extra bit of realism to the game. On its own this system randomly generates the body style of the animal similar to antlers so when looking into a herd of whitetail it’s not just bucks with different antlers and does with all the same body size you’ll get to see their maturity in this. But what if we went a step further? And added in a way to influence the growth system? Well given that the devs have already said the pellets are protein rich and the flake mix is high in carbs we can add in our influence by having the type of food you use influence the growth of the deer. Let’s say you have a buck it’s a level 2 but you want a level 4? Well give it a good mix of the food while not over feeding them and overtime you’ll grow ur level 2 into a level 4 but this will take a long time this isn’t just a ingame day thing this will take several ingame hours to happen and this doesn’t promise a diamond this just gives you a increased chance to get a diamond while bringing in a realistic factor to the game. With this we will also be influencing the TruRacs system! The type of feed and how much you feed them like I said will influence the size and level of the animal over time but will also influence the antler generation they get though it wont be any major influence it will still be a noticeable influence.

With this we will also add in a new variant of the animals. The elder an old, fatter or skinner variants of the base animal and is a nearly guaranteed diamond but don’t expect him to be a easy find or get while the great ones are very difficult to spawn he’s nearly as hard you’ll have a 0.33-0.5% chance or 1 in 200-300 chance to have a elder spawn they will have all the same fur types as their base variant but the elders will have a far more grey or silvery color to them. But yea if anyone has any idea about other things this could add pls tell me!
According to this, you place the feeder and wait for the animal to become Diamond or a GO or Rare, you would not need to go around your map or have a learning curve to learn to hunt, you just need to sit and wait for your trophy to appear 🫤
Wouldnt include great ones only gold and diamonds I thought about this kinda stuff after posting it and my thought is have a system that caps the growth of the creature so if say u have 2 deer one can go to diamond but the other can only go to gold it can but it will take I’d say at most maybe 2 irl days just to get 1 to gold if it’s a silver but and longer for diamond. But the whole idea of my system is to add the ability to tend and raise your deer like we do in real life so that you can get the best results upon shooting them. My system is definitely not full proof and does have some issues
As long as it's random and only happens for respawning animals I think it would work in the current game Systems
I like it. Sort of CotW meets WotH in a sense as far as growth goes.

If the way animals aged and the trophy rating was determined with genetics like in woth, this would work. With the way the game is though it would require the whole thing to be changed which ain’t happening. The reason behind telling you all the stuff about the bait I guess is just to make it seem like they researched it a lot when they could’ve just had corn feed with the description “attracts deer, elk, and other similar animals”.

It’s still a great idea don’t get me wrong, definitely reflects real world management. Just with the way the game currently works I doubt it’ll work.
I bet there’s a far better way to do it that works with the code then my idea but yea I agree with how it is rn it sadly wouldnt work without a huge redo of the code
