I own a musket for home defense type suggestion lol
First they gotta stop shadownerfing guns and bring back the Curman to it’s original state
Do you remember the Curman in its OG state? It couldn’t even take down a Whitetail with full Quick Kill with a Double Lung shot.
Haven’t been around that long, let me rephrase, when it could double lung moose and mostly get a high bleed rate, i’ve resorted to soft points since those are the only ones who can take down moose with medium bleedrate
I haven't used the Curman in a while. Did it get downgraded too? I know my Hudzik is struggling
I haven’t noticed the Hudzik changed at all, the Curman can’t get double lung on moose anymore, and instead of mostly getting high bleeds like the Hudzik still does, it’s mostly low bleeds now, unless you use hollow/soft points whatever the Curman has for most expansion, to get as high as medium
The Hudzik is my favorite rifle in the game (with the Gandhare coming close 2nd) and with the scope/crosshair pack update I noticed its overall stopping power drop significantly
Still gets high bleed though and it’s power at range hasn’t really changed
Maybe its just me. There was a period there i didn't play for a few months. It just feels like it isn't anywhere near what it used to be
Yeah could just be that you aren’t used to the game if you’ve taken a break, just because i don’t notice any change though doesn’t mean there hasn’t been any
Tbh I haven’t used the Hudzik at all since that update but I might have to test this out on some big game like Grizzlies. Moose got a significant buff for some reason, so that may have something to do with it.
I used to drop black bear at Layton Lake and bears at Yukon with no problem. Now it seems the Hudzik is struggling. Had two elk get away from me at Layton
Yeah but like the Curman does badly on elk now as well
A new .54 caliber 6-9 class muzzleloader would be an absolute beast and a fun way to hunt lions and cape buffalo
A muzzle loader with a bolt? How does that work?
Same as any bolt action rifle but it just hits the primer that sets off the charge.
Think of it as a bolt action single shot. You load it the same as any other muzzleloader but you open the bolt to place the primer instead of under the hammer or the break action (Curman) style primer.
Knight Muzzleloaders are pretty well known for this and bolt actions are considered a bit more reliable because it seals the primer from moisture
Oh alright, the Curman is my favorite Muzzleloader of the two so this on would be cool, hopefully it can be like a 8-9 then, even though it might realistically be just 9 maybe idk
.54 is a popular choice on bigger animals like elk and moose, even here in Wyoming theres a company making .62 caliber Hawken style rifles for them.
Ok so 7-9 then, which would be an awesome way to switch up the loadouts for big game hunting
Yeah, lots of people use .54 for mule deer too. There's a guy in our local gun club who swears his .54 is a lucky charm for deer hunts
That’s cool, considering EW’s reputation on gun and ammo though, the best i can hope for realistically is 7-9
there´s already muzzleloaders
Thanks for the information i suppose
you get them from the smoking barrels weapon pack
Yes, and there are already rifles and shotguns and pistols, should we also not get more and different variations of those?
.50 caliber muzzleloader, but pistol.
If we get a muzzleloader pack we could have this one, the one previously mentioned and one more
The “Brown Bess”. Comes in various calibers, most popularly in .75 - .80 caliber balls. Could be a great option for large and dangerous game.
This could fill in for the third gun on the weapon pack, good idea
So do we execute the m1
Wdym
Nvm
I think a Brown Bess or Charleville would be an awesome addition
Care to share some more information/pictures? I’m interested
The Charleville was a .69 caliber (typically) with a flintlock ignition. Smoothbore and (according to sources) accurate up to 80 yards
That’s the longest musket i’ve ever seen, where you hold is like a third the length of the barrel
😂😂 yeah its a long one. In times of war they were often loaded with "pumpkin" balls, lead balls that were purposely misshapen and weren't perfectly round
What a strange gun, let’s hope they add it
Pardon my lateness.
Kodiak Express .72 caliber muzzleloader. That is all.
That looks like a double barreled muzzleloader
