Snares and bear traps would be a great addition to the game, another cool idea would be an Amazon map

Yeah this would be cool, traps that don’t hurt the animals or kills them but rather keeps them in place

Either way I don’t see how snares would be a bad idea, they’ve added cool unique things like duck decoys I think snares for bunnies would be good too

I’d switch the title name of this post to like Snares and traps or smthn, just for clarity

I could see traps for very small game—hare, rabbit, squirrel—which would then serve as bait for predators. This would be specifically to attract rare predators, combined with the normal lures and calls.

That would add a layer of complexity; you'd have to set up a trap line (DLC), check/monitor the trap line, and then use it for baiting. This would be only for the top predators and their variations in rare furs. For example, a bait like rabbit would attract certain predators, A small deer female that are practically (No gain) useless in the game could be used as bait for a wolf pack with rare (fur/pelt variations). It could even be on the menu when we select "Taxidermy," where we could then choose "Bait'', etc.

A bear is a bit big to use as bait. If you are using it as bait, today's traps are quite effective. Take, for example, a beaver trap (Rudy 330): it's set in the water using two sticks near the den or the dam, and believe me, with the force and speed that trap closes, the animal absolutely doesn't have time to see anything coming—snap, it's over.
Also, we do it all day long. When I shoot a game animal and I only wound it, it suffers a whole lot.
