Hello everyone,

I bought the game new and installed it (Steam).

Unfortunately, I keep experiencing crashes. These happen even when I'm not doing anything and just standing around.
My monitors turn black and the PC reboots. Unfortunately, this phenomenon only occurs with CotW and nowhere else.

Specs:
CPU 7800x3D
GPU 7900 xtx
32GB DDR 5 RAM
msi tomahawk
Mvme SSD

Does anyone know about this and have any tips?

Hi!
I imagine all your drivers are up to date.
One thing you can do is check the Windows log; that will give you a very good idea.
Press Windows key + R --> (Run)
Type or copy/paste eventvwr.msc --> Enter (Windows Log)
Then follow this path.
In the left pane, go to Windows Logs --> Applications
In the page, the ones with a red "!" are errors. You'll have trouble locating the specific error for your crash, so rely on the date and time the crash occurred. That's simpler. If possible, reproduce the crash, and then check the Windows log.
Once you've located it, double-click on it, and you'll get a starting point. With that information, you can do a search.
This applies to any software that's crashing or not working properly.

You can also try two other things.

  1. Verify the integrity of the game files.
Start Steam and go to the game's page. Click on the small gear icon on the right for "Settings" / "Properties." In the new window, click on "Installed Files" in the left-hand panel. Then, on the main page, click "Verify integrity of game files" and let the process run.

  2. Run theHunter: Call of the Wild as an administrator.
Right-click on the game's executable file and select "Run as administrator."
