Rare Spawns Slightly Needs Adjusted

Ive been playing this game since 2021 and I have noticed over the years the rares are harder and harder to get. Me and my Wife played this game together for years and we used to find a rare at least every 3 weeks or so.
Now we never find any rares. I can't even get her to play the game anymore because she doesn't enjoy it since she never finds rares anymore. I haven't seen a rare in over 6 months at least. Probably longer. Rares are meant to be rare and not non existent. I belive the spawn rate got changed because of grinding. Now I never see rares. I even grind sometimes.

Please tweak the rare spawns just a little so you at least have chance to get one. I really want to get my wife back on the game so we can enjoy it together like we used to. Make it enjoyable like it used to be.

We used to enjoy knowing on one of the weekends in the month we were probably going to find a rare because thats when we really put in the hours. During the week we would play two to 3 nights for a couple hours a night and on the weekend we put in quite a bit of time.

That usallay would work for a at least one to two rares a month. Now nothing for 6 months , probably longer and she has thrown in the towel. Please make it fun again EW. Some of us have jobs and that amount of time we put in should be able to spawn a rare.

Look at what happened to me yesterday.
When I took this screenshot, she was alive. I had wounded her, she was getting away, and I shot her with my bow, she was hiding in the rocks. You'll notice the 420gr arrow in her back right thigh and holding here leg up. She seemed to be suffering, so I finished her off.

6 months or longer worth of kills and not one rare is a little extreme. What's the point of doing the amazing work on the furs if you aren't going to see them unless you grind 24/7

I don't grind, at least not for now. She was on the edge of a lake—she was just there by chance, a stroke of luck, I think. 😂

How many have you had in 6 months and how often do you play?

Ive probably spawned 3 or more G1s in 6 months with no rares. That should give you an idea of how many kills im getting.

Oufff, hard to say... Maybe 2 or 3, i play every day. More than 4000hrs on a year and a half, that's true they are hard to get.

Some people can't play everyday. They should be a challenge i agree.

Im not asking for easy just a slight adjustment to balance it a little more for people that can't play everyday. Its a little out of balance in opinion.

EW is trying to balance between grinders and non grinders and I totally understand that. They still haven't found that sweet spot in my opinion.

I just played for the first time in months (I was playing other games for once) and in a day found multiple rares without touching a grind. This is either a luck problem or a problem with something you are doing

I’ve been playing longer than you have and tbh , if anything, finding a rare has gotten easier, try different approaches for finding animals or try multiplayer

Amount of people don’t mean squat if you aren’t seeing new animals every time you play

We play three different servers usually so we are having multiple chances.

That’s even worse. By doing that you’re spreading respawns out across three maps making the chances of seeing a rare if you spawn one lower

Hopping 3 servers and just slowly shooting and waiting gets you about 0 rares a month, try grinding, multiplayer hopping and not being ignorant (that last one is important)

They also play those other two servers without me and aren't getting rares. So a ton of kills with hardly anything. I have over 20 something G1s. Im playing the game properly. We used to get rares but as grinding become more popular the rares have disappeared because EW balanced it because of grinding.

It also depends per species if you get lots of rares, with fallow deer for example i get about 1 rare per 20 diamonds but other species you get a rare every 3 diamonds

That's my point 20 diamonds is a lot. Too much for people that have jobs. I not asking for easy. I want it balanced. I even check all species because its been said if you have a certain number of rares you can't spawn more

20 diamonds is doable in a week if you have a proper grind set up, even with a j*b

EW hasn’t “balanced” the rare spawns like you’re saying. There is no evidence of this except for what you are trying to say which is being countered by multiple people.

I can only speak on my experience. From what I see there are multiple comments that prove its a little out of balance. Not everyone can grind everyday or would want to.

Well i don’t know how to explain it because i don’t grind, but i hope you see some soon, it’s out of anyones control really. In multiple instances i have gotten two rares in 15 minutes, and it’s nothing i can brag about. I’ve just gotten blessed a lot i suppose

I appreciate it. This page is to describe your experience and let EW know how it would be more enjoyable for a person which is what im trying to do. Like I mentioned in the post my wife won't even play anymore because of the 1000s of kills without a rare. Its almost like some people are trying to discredit my experience with the game and are acting like we just want it given to us. Playing 6 months without a rare should absolutely show thats not the case. I even explained that in the post.

I clearly stated a slight adjustment but some people are just going off the rails saying we want it to be easy. i miss the good Ole days when there wasn't so many keyboard warriors. You had to say stuff to people's face and take the chance of taking one to the jaw. People are just crazy.

Yeah but hey not to go off-topic so i’m just gonna say, always be ready for that punch to the jaw and deal with it you know what i’m saying? Those people will always exist but you having been though it can handle it, you can’t really get rid of them so just deal with them as they come and you’ll see them as less of a problem.

Im sorry but you gotta be ready for criticism or the harsh truth sometimes people can be a tad rude but at the same time people are allowed to voice their opinions and state facts, some trophies are rare some arent its all a gamble whether your gonna get something or not its randomly generated numbers after all it's just the next spin hoping something spawns

The harsh truth is the randomly generated number needs a very small adjustment. It takes the fun out of the game getting the same fur type after 6 months of killing and I mean tons of kills. You guys can say its not like that all you want . I see what happens on my game. I mean what's the point of all the different fur types if you can barely even see one.

I get they should be rare but its a tad overpowered. It didn't used to be that way. im sorry a few of you dont have the same results as me. im just describing my experience.

If EW thinks its fine then maybe I will get bored and find a different game like my wife did. i hope that's not their stance.

I really love this game but over the years its gotten harder and harder to get a rare. They even said in a stream one time about how diamonds was harder to get now. That wasn't in the patch notes and im assuming the change to the rares wasn't in a patch notes. All I know is they seem non existent currently for me and my experience.

Ik what you’re talking about. Back between 2019 and 2021 rares were a lot easier to get, I did a massive puma/mountain lion grind ( 5k pumas and 8 or 9k mountain lion kills ) got 57 albinos and 24 melas ( though counting multiplayer 70 albinos and 27 melas ). Then Mississippi came out along with fur names for the common furs and adjusted rare odds/made most uncommon furs either rare or common. Even made a rare common ( looking at you light brown Merriam turkeys ). After that update killed about 2k mountain lions, only got 1 albino and 1 mela.

Thank you for the validation. Im glad me and my wife aren't the only ones that this has affected. I see you are on Xbox. Im on Xbox as well. The small amount of other people saying they don't see it are not on Xbox. Maybe its an Xbox bug. All I know is the spawn rate changed from what it used to be.

Well was on Xbox during that time period of mountain lion grinding, moved to pc August 2023. Have killed about 500 of them on pc with no rares. Biggest thing I’ve noticed is animals with no piebalds are a lot harder to get rares of.
