Can be Rocky Mountain, Roosevelt, or Manitoban!

Elks are one of the most majestic animals of the cervidae family, and I feel like having an expansion making one of the three species have an even more majestic and fantastical appearance would be an amazing addition to the game. I don’t know how this community feels about Great One suggestions, but I love sharing my concept art and ideas. (You can read on if you want to, it’s just me yapping about unofficial lore and information. I hope I used the right tags?)

COATS

  1. SUN DANCE COAT - A rust coloured to light gold coat, with striped markings resembling flame. The Sun Dance coat is said to represent the summer skies, and the wildfires that pave the path for new life to begin. (It looks very bright in the image, I apologise)

  2. SKY RENDER COAT- A pale, dappled cool grey coat resembling clouds and storm. Nobody knows why its colors are so different, but some believe that the Great Ones that have this coat come from the very heavens above.

  3. ROSE GOLD COAT- A paler, more pastel version of the typical dark brown and light brown coats seen on lesser elk. It’s just pretty.

  4. TWILIGHT COAT- A dark, obsidian coloured coat dappled with white flecks like stars. Some say the Great Ones born with this coat are borne of stars.

ANTLERS

  1. MALEVOLENT- Typical elk antler that have grown in size and developed more pines. Elk that have these racks are considered very old.

  2. VELVET- Antlers that have not yet shed their velvet, and instead appear very soft.

  3. FILIGREE- Antlers that have less pines, but more intricate and elegant curves.

  4. SAWBLADE- Antlers that have grown curling backwards instead of back and out with a slight curve. Very spiky.

I realise sawblade and filigree are very stylised and can be completely changed if they’re considered at all, in order to keep to realism ^^

Yeah! It would be cool to have even just at least one chosen rack and coat for the G1 Elk if it’s ever made, I just had multiple ideas so I put them all on the same piece

Ngl this is probably the best G1 Elk concept I’ve seen. The furs aren’t too unrealistic, they look like something that could happen irl. Sure, the racks are rather stylized, but if EW did ever add these, they’d likely find a way to make them look sort of like this while also looking realistic. Overall a great G1 concept.

It would make sense to have some racks that would be considered less desirable so people will still be motivated to grind and spawn a great one with a different rack. It’s similar to how there’s a lot of people that prefer the droptine rack on the great one mule deer compared to the fungus rack. If all of the racks looked dope objectively to every single player instead of there being racks made to fit certain preferences, then many wouldn’t feel the motivation to try and keep spawning a great one in. So I made the velvet rack as simplistic as possible.
