Nestled in the wetlands of western Brazil, Refúgio das Águas Reserve stretches across flooded plains, gallery forests, and palm-studded savannas. Seasonal rivers carve winding channels through lush vegetation and ranchlands, creating one of South America’s most biodiverse hunting destinations. This is a land of life, color, and hidden danger — now open for exploration and adventure.

🌿 Biomes

- Flooded Grasslands – Open marshes dotted with Capybaras, Marsh Deer, and Yacaré Caimans. Flocks of Roseate Spoonbills and Whistling Ducks flock across the shimmering waters. Frogs croak and cicadas hum, bringing the wetlands to life.

- Gallery Forest – Dense riverside corridors where Jaguars prowl, Tapirs and Peccaries forage, and Black Howler Monkeys boom at dawn. Scarlet Macaws and Chestnut-bellied Guans flash through the canopy while Giant River Otters patrol riverbanks.

- Palm Savanna – Dry-season islands with termite mounds and scattered palms. Maned wolves stalk at dusk while Coatis and Armadillos roam. Tall grasses sway in the breeze, punctuated by the calls of Toucans and Macaws.

- Ranchlands – Cattle pastures and burned clearings reveal the human footprint. Cowbells echo as ranchers herd livestock, while scorched earth and logging scars remind players of the fragile balance between humans and wildlife.

Last I recall Brazil does not allow sport-hunting and before the tigers are brought up, hunting in Nepal is allowed with one hunting reserve specifically set aside for Blue Sheep and Tahr

sport hunting for a some species is allowed in rio grande do sul. while this specific map isn’t made for that particular region, there are multiple animals on this list that are in rio grande. so if this were to be based in that region, i could’ve just done the same thing that was done to nepal in terms of having those kind of out there species that are endangered or are illegal to hunt while pertaining to the animals that are allowed to be hunted in rio grande. iirc.

This sucks… honestly, I’m sorry, TOUCANS, MACAWS?

Just cause an animal lives in places doesn’t mean you can just shoot it.

FYI, my whole profile is for my friend and I’m changing it up soon, thanks friend.

Problem animals, and I will say it the Snow Leopard and Woodland Caribou are only huntable on their respective reserves for the sake of gameplay considering Snow Leopards are rarely a problem to begin with and the only problem a herd of migrating woodland caribou could cause is a shutdown of any work on the pipelines to avoid disturbing them

Maybe hunters want to have a realistic immersive experience where we don’t hunt endangered animals 🤯

We have multiple endangered species in this game that no one pays any mind to tbf like euro bison or mexican bobcat. Only became an issue when tigers and snow leopard got introduced. If you really want an immersive experience you’re playing the wrong game, this was and has always been an arcadey styled game

Agreed, you can make up lore or use in game lore to make sense of it, hunting parrots for fun isn’t a good reason.

As a note, when I said this in other threads I was referring specifically to you because you have a propensity to enter someone else's thread and call it dumb, as you did here.

You're being problematic and repeatedly violating forum rules, primarily by not giving much in the way of proper feedback by simply just being offensive. Instead of simply and calmly saying you disagree with an idea you outright call it stupid and attack the OP. This is, of course, not to say that you have not experienced offensiveness in return or undue insults, but you are intentionally inviting conflict.

Please refrain from acting like this in the future.

If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it.

#📜︴faq does mention some stuff about Endangered species but I will just copy and paste the whole answer of the endangered species question here

"It's been a few years since we last openly discussed our approach to adding animals, particularly endangered species, to the game. While there isn't a simple “yes” or “no” answer, we would like to provide more context behind our process of adding new species to the game, which should give you a better understanding of our decision-making.

It begins with very careful research into each new reserve location. This research directly informs the selection of animals that best fit the local ecosystem, considering what species could realistically live or even migrate into that region in real life.

Authenticity is paramount to us, and maintaining a balanced roster variety is key to achieving that. Because of this commitment to realism, we may include animals that, while officially classified as endangered, can still be found in real-world wildlife reserves and are integral to represent the local environment.

For these species, we often carefully explain their place directly through the reserve's main story and specific missions. While the animals included in our reserves are usually legal to hunt in real life, we acknowledge that this might not always be the case for every species we feature."

i made this reserve concept because the pantanal in brazil would be one of if not the most unique reserve in the game. i’m aware that more than half of the animals here are either endangered or are illegal to hunt, i literally just made it for fun. i also have always loved and admired the animals that live there. if your opinion differs from mine that’s fine and im down to talk about it cause im open minded to anything, but getting pressed over an irrelevant discord concept map in a video game is chronically online 12 year old activities.
