We in the “we really want Africa 2.0” community talk a lot about what species should added, what classes those animals should be, locations, weapons, etc. but something that isn’t really talked about is what species should have a drink zone and which shouldn’t. So I’m going to make a list of what(in my opinion) animals should and shouldn’t have drink zones.
THE SHOULD’S
- First and probably the most controversial, Elephants. Elephants should have drink zones. IRL elephants need a ton of water to survive and they love playing in it. Having them to be like snow leopards without a drink zone feels wrong to me.
- The Spiral four(kudu, eland, nyala, bushbuck)
- White Rhino
- Sable and Roan(maybe not roan)
- Beasts (Hartebeest, blesbok, etc)
- Giraffe (it would make for a really funny drinking animation)
- Lechwe (and all other relatives like Waterbuck, Puku, Kob, etc)
- Impala
- Rare Antelope(Bongo, Lord Derby Eland, Mountain Nyala)
- Small Cats(Caracal, Servel, Golden Cat, etc)
- Duikers
- Zebra
THE SHOULD NOT’S
- Hippo
- Crocodile
- Black Rhino (should be like snow leopard)
- Leopard
- Cheetah
- Sitatunga
- Monkeys and baboons
- Gazelles (because springbok don’t have drink zones)
- The rest of the tiny ten(excluding duikers)
- Okapi (if actually added)
And those are my lists of what should and shouldn’t get a drink zone. I would love to read thoughts and opinions in the comments
