How about another Combination gun? In Germany we call them "Bockbüchsflinte"
They have a shotgun barrel over a rifle barrel.

They come in various Configurations:
Like .308&12/76 or 8x57IRS&12/76
Or like the pictured Gun (Blaser BBF95) in 5,6x50R Magnum & 16/70 wich would make it a great gun for smaller spiecies.

The 5,6x50R Magnum is a bit more powerful than a .223 and in germany legal for roe deer.

For suggestions to a classrange this would be suited i'd be thankfull

This would be a neat gun and I imagine it would be much lighter then the Drilling Combination we already have in the game

I'd suggest making it a 2-4 for the 5,6x50R Mag and just using the same stats the 16ga already has.

Or you could go with 20ga to make it even lighter

I'd keep it at 16ga. That makes it very versatile. And 2-4 Sounds good to me
