The Staghorn takes full advantage of the case capacity of the .45-70 cartridge and modern ammunition designs to make a truly formidable big game rifle even more effective.

With a maximum zero distance of 200m this rifle has the reach to hunt elk in the mountains and the power to bring down even the mighty cape buffalo.

Using a polymer tipped 320gr this rifle can be a versatile powerhouse capable of taking anything between whitetail deer and moose.

Paired with a 405 grain Solid brass bullet however, it becomes a powerful opponent for charging grizzlies and cape buffalo alike.

The long 24 inch barrel aids in velocity retention and the magazine tube will hold 4 cartridges allowing for quick follow-up shots. The added ability to use any normal scopes also help make this a viable option for hunting at range.

It annoying that .45-70, a cartridge known for taking big game, sucks at taking big game. Reworks it and many other calibers!

The .45-70 seriously does need the overhaul this would bring, its such an amazing caliber and an ideal dangerous game rifle that its used as a defensive weapon in Alaska and Australia.

This version of it would also make it better for longer ranged shots and the new ammo would benefit both the other .45-70 caliber weapons in the game

Even as a standalone weapon id absolutely love to have this, a genuine long range 4-9 with better penetration than the 7mm would be a Godsend for so many of us verteran players who want to play with less gear crammed into our inventory. Id pay 3$ US for this happily
