Next Weapon Pack

Might js be me, but i would like more centerfire rifles in the next pack. I think something like a remington 700 .30-06 would be really nice, or maybe an updated winchester M70 .270. I would also like to see calibers like the roberts .257 and 7x57 in centerfire rifles aswell.

Ok, but realistically when have you ever seen someone hunt with a quist reaper. Also am talking abt bolt action. Like the .223 rifle is the most abstract thing I have ever seen

No, because the Quist Reamer isn’t the name of a real weapon. But I have seen plenty of people hunt with an SKS, M1 Garand, or other military surplus weapon. The old .223 is not only trash, but also one of the oldest rifles in the game. Still, out of the 34 rifles we have in game, 17 of them are bolt actions. Thats half of all rifles in game.

1. No way! It’s not the name of the real gun? It couldn’t possibly be for copyright reasons. I’ve never seen anyone hunt with an M1. 2nd I believe that I said or insinuated that it was my opinion and I don’t rlly care if u agree or not. I am merely stating that I am more inclined to buy a pack with rifles I actually use irl rather than, for example, the pack that’s abt to drop where no weapons fit a new niche in my inventory. (Hence why it’s the first pack I am not buying)

I actually have a surplus .303, and u js helped prove my point. I have never used that to hunt

That doesn’t prove anything. Because if you weren’t here for the prime of surplus rifles shooting, then you missed the entire era when people did hunt with them constantly. Garands, Mausers, Enfields, Mosins, all of it. Just because you personally never used your .303 to hunt doesn’t erase the history of how common it was.

Man, this is not aging well. People hunt with military surplus rifles all the time and have for centuries. Not to mention we have a .257 Roberts coming next week...

And yeah, I can read just fine. What I’m saying is that just because you don’t use surplus rifles doesn’t mean plenty of hunters didn’t. From the 50s through the 90s, surplus was king in the deer woods, cheap, reliable, and absolutely everywhere. So it’s not exactly unrealistic to see them represented.

And as many semiautos as we have in this game they're still outnumbered by all the various bolt actions. We have bolt action .30-06. You want a Remington, play Way of the Hunter.

Not only that, we have a Remington 700 already. We don’t need the whole Remington factory (fell off hard btw) at our disposal.

Lol You're arguing for tons of calibers in gun actions we already have plenty of, and a caliber that has just been announced that we're getting in an IRL action we don't currently have. Then arguing people don't, haven't, or shouldn't be using military surplus weapons. Clearing some things up is perfectly acceptable, and text doesn't usually accurately convey the emotions of the writer.

I will also add that I play and enjoy both games. I shoot a Remington myself and enjoy having that option in Way of the Hunter.

Ah, now things are making sense.

Some nice ideas, but it's a lot of repeats. Biggest thing we honestly need is accurate ballistics and more ammo options. So many of these calibers need a serious rework before being re-released in dlc after dlc.
