Oh I like the .257 and the .410 is cool, especially if it can use scopes and .45 colt like the pistol, but the .22 mag is a flaming abomination with that hideous stock on it

The stock is entirely the wrong shape. If anything it’s closest to the Olsson and that’s a good thing.

Speaking of the .350 Magnum, I want to like it on WotH - it's kind of a unique round - but I just don't. Not sure if I ruined things by using it while still getting used to the game or what. Might have to revisit it.

No it's just disgustingly underpowered and has no ammo options. Before the ammo update it was pretty great

The 9.3×62mm is my go-to on Tikamoon Plains. Love it. The new .416 is a fun one on the Cape Buffs.

Upon reflection, I have to think the reason they put it in a double barrel is so that it wouldn't take away from the .338s and .375. Really the only thing that makes sense.

.375 doesn't take cape buffalo well at all tho. And the .338 is okay but doesn't feel like a proper safari rifle

I haven't toyed with them much. 9.3 gets the job done nicely and is more versatile.

The 375 just doesn't feel good with buffalo and the plastic stock is just kinda disappointing

My favorites are between that and a CZ 550 in .416 Rigby for sure

I think a lot of people still like the traditional style hunting rifles and at least for the long term players things like the anantha 22 mag just have no appeal. I personally don't care for it or the tsurugi and I've seen at least a few people say the same

I'll test it out on some smaller class 2 game before I completely discard it, but yeah it's mid and the tacticool aspect isn't appealing.

Its just not something that I'm interested in but the pump .257 looks genuinely fun and I wish I could just buy it alone

Dude, it packs a punch and really fills in a gap. So many otherwise good class 3 rifles feel underpowered for class 5 and 6, but this combines arguably the best of 2-4 and 4-8 rifles into one. It's truly possible now to have a three-gun loadout, or even just two if class 1 species aren't your thing. Obviously that doesn't take a wolf protection handgun into account. Lol

Wolf protection handgun? They get the .44 mag moradi if its me. I got swarmed by two packs at once when they were first put on medved and and twelve when I went to cuatro

Funny thing is, the .257 carves them up like butter too. If you have enough time and space to pick out their leaders fast enough, no handgun needed. Basically there's another slot it combines, making it a 3-in-1 gun. Lol

For sure, understandable. I do too, except for a few cosmetic DLCs. I'm very interested to see what they eventually come up with for cosmetics for Askiy Ridge, though.

I don't think a skin pack is entirely necessary for every dlc. Like not every map needs a GO or multiple.

However, the new cartridges have given me an idea that I might put in another weapon pack

No but they were fun, and you could make your weapons look really cool. I really like customization in cotw so i hope they release skin packs, but since they haven’t released from the most recent dlcs i can’t imagine we are getting more

I know this might sound weird, but I wouldn’t mind a wrap that looks like wood for those models that normally wouldn’t allow for it and on certain parts.

Saw that done on an AR, a guy in our local club owns it

With a wood-grain wrap we could make a wooden handle for the FOCOSO .357, Rhino 454, etc., or a nice wood stock for a .223 DECENT or VASQUEZ CYCLONE .45.

True but the last couple guns, particularly the Vallagarda .375 and the Frost .257 look great without any customization

Yeah the guns need to look good originally, customization is great for not getting bored to easily and having a more personalized experience

Another .350 possibility is the model 51 imperial
