Battle Scars Fight and Hunting wounds and scars instead of more G1's

I'd like to see more very rare incidents of finding Battle scars on animals and even hunting wounds received from a bad shot.

Things like broken antlers and horns, torn ears, even a missing eye, mangled noses and just general scarring would create a unique trophy ....

Im all for more g1s but I feel like broken antlers,scaring and possibly adding more muscle to larger and heavier animals would cool alongside more g1s

Pronghorn got a new update on their antlers having them broken off, but i haven’t seen that change on other animals

Sadly no, and to be clear the antler isn’t entirely off, it’s just a piece of it broken off, it ain’t too rare tho i think if you hunt them a bit i bet you can find them. If i do find one i hope i’ll remember to send it here

The devs can only do so much in the time they have .... If its a matter of dev time my vote would be to add scaring to make more animals unique ....

We literally got 2 g1s, a dog and 3 new guns during the salz update I dont think dev time is a big deal and the remodels they gave to animals the new antlers to muley, and an entire new g1 they can definitely do both, on top of that new species

Yes that was my thinking at least for the males that fight for dominance ..... And even some female predators that may try to prey on things that may be too tough for them ....

I would like to see the rarity similar to that of a diamond but the scars could appear on animals of silver quality or higher ....

So a Silver or Gold with Scars would be mount worthy .... A silver or Gold with rare fur and scars would be on par with a Super Rare....

A diamond with rare fur and scars would be .... ASR (Amazingly Super Rare )

Instead of more great ones? Why are so many people negative over more great ones, I’d love to support this post, but I can’t because you suggest less great ones, which are one of my favourite things in the game.

And a Gold and Silver with a rare fur on par with Super rares? Yeah I definitely cannot get behind this idea. If you want scarring you can’t make it extremely rare, because it isn’t very rare irl.

How does great one grinding suck if it’s such a popular thing? (Which a lot people literally do more instead of just normally hunting, just a big group of cry babies on this discord that dislike it, smh)

in my opinion
to me it feels like people just get it for the trophy and not for the fun
to me grinding dozens or hundreds of hours for a different looking deer is not fun and not worth it and i dont think you'd even see it much unless you love going to your lodge
isnt great one grinding just teleport to a tent, wait, shoot an animal, teleport to a tent, wait, harvest the animal?

No there’s more managing to it (If you’re doing herd management) and many people here judge it before giving it a try. And a lot of people assume it’s just for the Great one. But Scarecrow grinded for a sr of all the red deer furs, and just happened to get a few G1’s. I grind for the opportunity to get more rares, diamond, AND the great one.

imo its better to update things that more players see
for example minecraft updates the overworld a ton because most players will experience the update but if they update the end theres alot less people to experience the update

There’s a lot of people who play the game, like me, who play the game to hunt like irl, yes it’s a game and not 100% like irl but it’s very immersive nonetheless. I don’t like grinding at all mostly because i prefer the different playstyle, sitting at zones and shooting as many animals as possible may be fun for you, but for us who want to get great ones also would like some other type of approach. It loses the feel just of being a hunting game when you just fast travel around all the time. The way the tigers work loses itself especially when you grind those because they have a mechanic that is supposed to work with you hunting around all the map, not just waiting in a stand and reseting timers all the time.

Now if there’s anything i missed abt grinding lemme know, i’m not saying it should go or anything because it’s not my playstyle. I do think though you miss a lot of the game only playing that way, and i can’t tell you exactly why it’s popular (maybe people do it for popularity reasons since a lot of youtubers mostly post about grinding) idk. I would like there to be more options for us other players as well

Yes, but asking for more stuff for casuals, suggesting to add it instead of great ones, is kinda selfish. Since that priorities one play style over the other. Casuals want to get some stuff, grinders want to get some stuff, if EW wants to have a haply community that doesn’t despise each-others play style, they should add something for both to enjoy, and something for all the other play styles, too…

I realize scarring is more common IRL but the goal is to make them worth something from a rarity standpoint ....

Currently no one mounts a nice Gold or silver ... But if you make scaring rare then you might see those animals considered for mounting ...... Kind of like with rare furs ....

So if the scars are too common then they'll just become another useless thing ....

Selfish?? You mean like grinders only having access to G1 and no one else? ..... The scars wouldn't be just for casuals grinders would find more than casuals would ....

My comment on G1's would be to temporarily put a stop on creating any new G1 to develop these scars .... Especially since G1's can currently only be enjoyed by those who enjoy grinding .....

You realise that bronze's are going to be the most common variant of this... I for one don't even mount bronze rares, and a lot of people don't either. This is just a failed idea of TruFur like in theAngler. Also, you realise a great one can spawn from any male you shoot from a species that has a great one? Countless people have gotten one like this. There's no way EW is goro literally halt the creation of more great ones when so many people wait for a new one every 6 months in anticipation to be able to grind. This would upset more people than it would make people happy. And as I've said before, anybody has access to great ones. I've realised you are just against grinding, you can't judge something without even trying. This is just blatantly a stupid idea, in my opinion.
