The Current Animal classes are so Unrealistic right now so I propose the Following fixes
Black bear: C7-C6 (People Hunt Black bears with .243 Winchester IRL all the Time to Decent Effect)
Elk (in general): C7-C8 (They should've stayed in class 8)
Plains Bison: C9-C8 (IRL people use .308 and .30-06 on them To great effect)
Wolves (Both species): C6-C4 (They have no Reason being Class 6 with how Small they are in comparison to all other class 6 animals)
Coyotes (With remodel and Rework): C2-C3 (They are Far Larger than Any Other Class 2 Species Except Beaver)
Beaver: C2-C3 (Same as Coyotes)
Saltwater Crocodile: C8-C9 (They are larger than Most class 9 species, Thank you Nobaddays for reminding me)
Axis Deer: C3-C4 (They have the Same max weight as Sika Deer)
Caribou/Reindeer: C6-C5 (They have a Very similar weight to The Mule deer)
Nilgai: C6-C7 (they are Bigger than All other Class 6 Species)
American Alligator: C7-C8 (They are the same size as the Roosevelt Elk plus they are Armored)
Pronghorn: C3-C4 (They should've stayed in class 4 Because IRL they are just as if not tougher than Whitetail deer Plus Calibers like .270, .308 and .30-06 Are very Popular on them IRL)

Yes other than bison
Bobcats in class 3 maybe? They are almost the size of coyotes on a regular
Idk if you've ever hunted bison IRL But they drop Really easily in comparison to Buffalo (Bison ribs aren't very Thick)
There's videos online of them being shot 3 times in the lungs and standing
What Caliber
I do say that Bisons should be in Class 8
There's one I saw with 45-70
The reason I put them here is because they should just be Tough Class 8's
i have a hunch that wolves are class 6 so that the pointer doesnt point to them
its stupid i know but it makes sense to me
.30-06 is a very popular cartridge used on Bison
Should handle them without problem.
C7 wildebeest? Really?
Yes, they are some of the Toughest Antelope in Africa
Ngl alot of big game need reworked. A bison shot with a 7mm double lung should not run for over half a mile
Uhh no they’re not? I’ve hunted them before they drop quite easily…
It just happened to me a few hours ago
I'm not changing it either way
People here hunt them with the .243, 6.5, and they drop on the spot. They really aren’t that tough 😂
Still not changing it, Get over it
I've dropped them with a 270 many times
“Let me know your thoughts”
Clearly you don’t really wanna here our thoughts.
Besides I'm going off of Weight mostly
Says here that .243 is not ideal but usable
Someone on a form claimed their son was able to take one with a .243
Also elk in class 8 doesn’t make sense at all if you’re basing it of “weight” since Manitoban Elk max at 450, RME at 480 and Rosies at 500, which is significantly smaller than all other class 8 species.
Keyword "Mostly" Besides they used to be in Class 8 for YEARS and it was fine
Oh and if you’re “mostly” basing it of weight, why don’t crocs get bumped to class 9? They max at 1100 which is way heavier than a lot of class 9’s.
Thanks for the idea I'll slap em on there
Crocs in class 9 I can easily get behind
Any other species you think Should be Slapped on the List
Caribou could get dropped from class 6 - 5 (Maxing at 190) Same for reindeer (Max 182)
True
Btw Nilgai are also class 6 but they max at 308 so they might be able to be class 7. It could definitely work but I feel like the .375 would melt them like it melts the black bears
Tbh class 6 is one of the Most Problematic Classes because there are species in it that should be Class 4 Class 5 or Class 7
Yeah
(I'm looking at you Wolves)
I do agree crocs should be 9. And wolves need changed up
I've shot wolves with a .223 Before which Folded them at under 50 Metres
I have only seen ONE hunting game get wolves right and that's The Hunter classic, COTW and WOTH get them so Wrong
Yeah they were very well done in classic
Yeah its because wolves are a big predator but they really aren't huge like some people think
My dogs are bigger than the average gray wolf for crying out loud
Yeah my old dog was 99 pounds so she out weighted small ones easy
One of my Dogs is 200+ Pounds for Crying out loud XD
What breed? And is it fat?
Great Pyrenees, And he's Built
Oh yeah nah they can get huge although I think 200 is over there normal weight range
He does have something else in him, Some kinda Mastiff
Oh then that makes more sense
Wolves should be Class 4 and I will die on this Hill
I agree
One of my friends smoked one with a 204 Ruger a While back
Bumping this up
Please EW Fix the Classes
All of these are good except wildebeest, caribou/reindeer, axis, gators and beavers those are fine where they are and they dont need changes the others do most of the animals fit their roles in their class and are fine where they are, imo sika should be dropped to class 3
I've hunted Caribou before and they aren't that much Tougher than Mule Deer (Also Natives here in Canada use .223 on Almost everything including Caribou)
Also I'm mostly Going off weight in this List
Try to go off weight, size and toughness not just weight there are several factors that come into play for a certain animal to be in a different/current class
I am Also Going off of Toughness which is why I Put American alligator as C7-C8 Due to their Armour
However it is nice to know you agree with some Species on this List
Gators are tough and tanky but they are fine in class 7 they dont compare to tanks such as moose and brown bears they should not be in the same class
