Kinda just my take on an “Africa 2.0” map. The map would be largely based on the Okavango Delta in Botswana, and the surrounding floodplains. It will be a rather large map and seems almost like paradise…Yet…There is a LOT of dangerous animals that will attack you if either provoked or you intrude on their territory.

So stay weary and keep that .470 close by your side…or the last thing you’ll see will be the gaping jaws of death.

Unique mechanic: Multiple Species will form mass herds(i.e: Springbok w/ Wildebeest and etc.)

Animal Roster | 21 total (It’s a lot I know)

Returners: 5 Total

Springbok
Warthog
Blue Wildebeest
Cape Buffalo
Lion

Newcomers: 16 Total

African Bush Elephant (Class 9)
Southern White Rhino (Class 9)
Hippo (Class 9)
Giraffe (Class 9)
Leopard (Class 7? Unsure where to place)
Nile Crocodile (Class 7)
Plains Zebra (Class 6 or 7, again unsure)
Spotted Hyena (Class 6)
Common Ostrich (Class 5 or 6)
Red Hartebeest (Class 6)
Impala (Class 4)
Cheetah (Class 4)
Chacma Baboon (Class 4)
Honey Badger (Class 9) (Class 2)
Egyptian Goose (Class 1)
Knob-Billed Duck (Class 1)

⚠️ Hippos are the most aggressive animal on this map and Bull Hippos will attack you when you are in their line of sight. You have been warned. ⚠️

                      Proceed?
 (Yes) (No)

Idea for an Africa Map (Okavango Delta based map)…Agate Floodplains Game Reserve

Rhinos, Hippos and Elephants should be In a New class (Class 10) Because they are far larger and Tougher than anything in Class 9

prime valve
#

I was basing around the 470, which is used irl against Elephants

weary citrus
#

Besides it wouldn't make any sense to use a 7MM, 300, or 338 on them (Those are class 9)

weary citrus
prime valve
#

Game logic be like: “Ahh yes the 7MM can take a Cape Buffalo.”

weary citrus
#

Realistically the only rifles in the game capable of Taking elephants IRL would be the 9.3X74R, .375 and .470

prime valve
#

Why are the 7MM, .300, and .338 class 9 again?

weary citrus
#

Idk they really shouldn't be, The 7MM should just be the most Powerful 4-8 while the 300 and 338 should be Class 5/6-8

#

Also I would place Leopard in Class 6 and Zebra in class 7

prime valve
#

You know…that sounds like a reasonable balance patch

Those 3 get toned down as a couple new class 9 rifles get introduced

~~ Also .45-70 is class 9 as well, yeah good luck killing a Rhino with that~~

And maybe make Hyena class 5 as they are the size of wolves (Which should have stayed Class 5)

prime valve
#

Yeah I was kinda basing them around wolves, which were class 6 and I just put them there

#

So I think instead of a “Class 10” we do a class 9 rework and tone down 3 of the rifles that should not be class 9

And a class change to some existing animals

#

After feedback

Minus a “Class 10”

weary citrus
#

That Could work, Just stick Plains Bison in Class 8 and keeping Wood bison in class 9 could work

The hyena should be class 6 with the leopard because hyenas weight the same or larger than leopard with the hyena being 90lbs to 190lbs and the leopard being 70-150lbs

#

And I think this would be a great opportunity for the African wild dog to be added to the game

weary citrus
#

So Hyena would end up with the same Class Problem as Wolves, that being Far smaller than Every other class 6

thin smelt
#

If you put it that was but the leopard is the smallest class 6 animal on this list the hyena and leopard should be swapped due to the weight difference

weary citrus
#

True, I personally would put Them both at Class 4 or 5 due to their Weight

thin smelt
#

And I think that the Nile crocodile needs to be class 8 due to it being around the same weight as grizzlies and moose

I’ve seen a video of a guy shooting a leopard and It ran out of a cave and jumped on him 😂

any more waterfowl species or are those the only two species that live in there

prime valve
# golden oar Bison.

I say that needs to be changed

Put the bisons in Class 8, and change those calibers to class 8

prime valve
#

Added 3 new waterfowl to round out the Animal Roster to 24. All Class 1 OFC.

Added:

• White-Faced Whistling Duck
• Spur- Winged Goose
• African Pigmy Goose

Any bigger and It may be too much

~~ I personally think it’s already too big ~~

#

Also did some class changes:

  • Spotted Hyena: Changed back to class 6 to align with Wolves. Still can subjectively be put into Class 5

  • Plains Zebra: Changed to Class 7. Could be put back into Class 6 if needed/wanted enough

  • African Leopard: Changed to Class 7. I don’t think a .243 can stop these cats reliably enough. Minimum Caliber for a lot of safaris is .375. The .375 in-game is class 7-9. They should have stayed in class 7.

  • Nile Crocodile: Changed to Class 8. Yeah idk why they were in 7 when Saltwater Crocodiles were also in Class 8. Oops.

prime valve
#

So is the line-up good/balanced enough now?

calm vine
#

yes but if you want i can add some class 5 but i would not be able to think with my adhd brain.

prime valve
#

I think that’ll be too many animal spawns.

If they were a ton of small game it would be fine. But like only 6/24 are class 1-2

I think 24 is already pushing it a bit

prime valve
#

Replaced the Impala with the Lechwe, because they are far more abundant there

prime valve
#

Updated it just slightly

Removed the Pigmy Goose and added the Nile Monitor

And replaced the Whistling duck with the Blue Billed Teal
