I have an idea that has been biting away at me. We have 2/3 of the Elks that live in the Americans…just missing the Tule Elk. So I came up with a reserve idea that will star the Tule Elk, along side the California Valley Quail.
The reserve is mostly Valley & Chaparral, with some wetlands & ponds mixed in to break up the dry areas. Kind of a Flatter reserve but has a lot of bushes for animals to hide in. In the middle of the reserve is a ghost town that has been abandoned for quite some time.
I took some creative liberties with this idea, such as some animals being protected in California despite being able to be hunted elsewhere. There are 26 species on this map, with over half being classes 1-2.
