#NEM: Remodels, And Backfills

New england mountains is a beautiful map. But all the species are species we have. Here im going to talk about some of my personal opinions about what species should be backfilled.

(New) Virginia Opossum: Class 2

(New) North American Porcupine: Class 2

(New) Striped Skunk: Class 2

(New) Fisher Cat

(New) Marmots: Class 2

North American Beaver: Class 2

(New) Ruffed Grouse: Upland Bird (Class 1)

Raccoon Resizement: They need to be bigger. they are huge in Southern Ontario and New england. still class 2 but they need a bigger model

Additionally. Remove Mallards they are already in so many maps. (Askiy ridge, Layton Lakes, Revontuli Coast, Salzwiesan, Te awaroa)

I'll add Fisher Cats & Badgers to the list as well otherwise this would be great to make NEM complete imho.

I just looked myself and well sure enough they're not 😅 I'm so used to them I suspected they resided across the whole US lol. Apparently, they dont like the East Coast according to the range map 🤣. Jokes aside I really thought they were all over except the South Eastern Parts of the US but I stand corrected. But I talked to Huxley awhile back about NEM about Fisher Cats and they would be awesome additions to the Furbearer list. Though I also like the OP's suggested list as well that would make NEM feel more complete. I love this reserve its in my top 3.

I also think there needs to be more hills like what we see on Askiy and more wetlands for the copious amounts of waterfowl.

Nebraska defn. has them being as I'm from there, but by NE I think your referring to New England & no they dont based on their range map and as "MooseDragon" pointed out to me as well. An honest mistake on my part assuming that Badgers resided across all of the US. But yea Fishers defn. are & I'd have a blast hunting them.

They wouldn't pair well in NEM given they already have Bobcats here. But I do agree if BC releases they should be on the list esp. since AR didn't, and honestly, they really should've over adding Mallards & Pheasant. I'll admit it does feel weird having a reserve w/o a rabbit or hare including a C:2 predator. But based on AR's Game list minus the Quacks is more focused on Med-Lrg Game this time around. Though the Grouse was a nice add since EW really needs to add more US Upland birds.

I’d like to see Canadian Goose on NEM too but they should stick to the fields and rivers. I’d also like to see the rivers widen a bit
