I am trying to install update 1.95 onto my PS4 and it keeps saying “can’t install update file”

On ps4 you always need the size of the game to be updated plus the update file as free space on your system. Otherwise it won't work.
This is due to the ps4 creating a whole copy of the game, then updating that copy and THEN deleting the old version once the new version is created and updated.
This is to make sure you always have a complete and consistent version you can play, even while you are updating your game.
Example: you have a game of 100 GB and a 5 GB update. Therefore you need temporarily 105+ GB of free space for the update process to run. After completion you have again juat one version, as the old one gets deleted once the new version is completed
