Hey Hunters!
I’ve got a feature suggestion that would take The Hunter: Call of the Wild to a whole new level of immersion, realism, and strategic depth:
Wildlife Cameras!
These would be placeable devices you can attach to trees or other surfaces within the hunting reserves. Once deployed, they provide live video feeds to a monitor in your outpost or tent (or maybe via a tablet device in your inventory?). Perfect for scouting animals without disturbing the environment!
Key Features:
Placeable on trees: Attach wildlife cameras to trees to monitor animal movement on trails or near need zones.
Live Feed Access: View the camera feed from your hunting lodge, tent, or via a portable monitor.
Night Vision Toggle: Activate night mode to see clearly during nighttime hunts.
Camouflage Skins: Buy different camo patterns for your cameras (bark camo, mossy, snow, desert, etc.) to blend in and reduce spooking.
"Need Zone Detection" Upgrade: After some time, cameras reveal all need zones within their viewing cone and range (similar to how lookout towers do with the "eagle eye perk" – but direction-based!).
Gameplay Impact:
Encourages non-invasive scouting.
Adds new planning depth for strategic hunters.
Makes tents and outposts more useful.
Fits perfectly with the game’s immersive style.
Opens up awesome roleplay or documentary-style playthroughs.
I seriously think this would not only look amazing but also give players way more tools to explore and understand the reserves without breaking realism.
Let me know what you think and devs… please consider this! You already have lookout towers and binoculars... this is just the natural next step.
Thanks for reading & happy hunting!
