The new 30-30 isn't adequate for a "Reserve Release Exclusive." It was advertised with new ammo that I would have presumed would make it a "2-6/3-7" or "2-7" to be suitable to ethically take Beaver up to the new Elk & Black Bear. In the past we've seen Reserve Release Weapons either be suitable or adjusted to pursue game in its assigned map. Gandhare was 4-8 & reclassed to 4-9 to hunt Tigers, Musk Ox, & Water Buffalo in Sundarpatan. 10ga birdshot was 1 & reclassed to 1-2 to be justified on a C:1-2 Exclusive Reserve Release. I'm hoping to see the 30-30 reclassed to 2-7 (2-6/3-7) if you're NOT going to release the Green Polymer-Tip ammo you advertised with the outfit & "Laperriere Outrider" or.... In a future update with a gear pack expanding ammo options for all calibers just as the Shotguns & Bows do!?

The Snow disappears on the trees I would've preferred the snow to stay like it does on Medved with a change in snowfall occasionally from being a flurry to a Blizzard.
-
Missed opportunity to add a new location to hunt Grizzly Bear & really missed out on adding Canadian Lynx, Wolverines, & Snow Hare. I'll admit it feels off putting having a reserve without rabbits or hares along with a Class 2 or 3 Predator.

The Narrative was pretty dry & Hollow just like Revontuli & Salzweisen Park did. I'd really like to see you guys bring back the once strong Narratives we had from release up to New England Mountains.
- The Mule Deer....I'm sry I prefer the old model over the new one. They look like they have down syndrome & no its not to be mean or offensive that's quite literally what they look like irl. Do a search if you want to see them they do exist. Its not much different on how the Coyotes in-game look sickly with mange & scaled to small. & EW please enough with the Fantasy G1 Trope. In the future still make them unique but appear more natural as you did with the Moose, Whitetail, & Black Bear. (Disclosure): I'm aware the Racks on Moose are out there but they still look esthetically natural & not something from DnD or a related fantasy space. Blk Bear looks like it has Stars although I think their supposed to represent Scars?
Other than what was mentioned above the reserve overall is enjoyable. The new animations & audio to me are pretty good and the reworks to older game models has been a long time coming & I'm really happy to see that. Also I love the new predator features that were added although I'd reduce overall Blk Bear populations as you did with the Wolves. By the way the Wolves look great. Also credit to the animators and design team for the Beavers & new hit reactions. Now I'd like to see this effort extended to Burrows for future Badgers, Wolverines, Prairie Dogs, Fox, Coyotes, Rabbits/Hares etc. I eventually would love to see tree dwellers eventually get animations & features as well to extend on Puma/Mtn Lion, Jaguar, Leopard, Porcupine, & maybe Squirrels.
If the 5 things bulleted above were addressed, I would've easily given this a 5 of 5.
Let me put this into perspective. If any research was done on the .30-30 is was just looking up the notes on it from the game's release.
The stats are extremely similar but show a massive discrepancy in how classes are approached and utilized.
Recommend more research on the caliber of each weapon from now on
I might also wanna add mountain lion mountain lion and grizzly bear. Both should’ve been on this reserve. It just feels wrong that neither of them made the cut.
I find despite on the edges of the mountains, that there is no life on the mountains. What I mean by that, after I don't know if it's possible because the mountains are too high or something like that, but I went all the way to the top of the mountains because I said to myself there are still quite a few mountain species and that in Silver Ridge peak the animals can still be seen quite high, but the mountains of Askyie Ridge are the equivalent of those of Layton Lake District, this means that there is life around but not above or in a large part, that's it but that bothers me. Unless someone tells me that really the bighorn sheep and the mountain goats can't go so high, but if it's possible then why do we still have a fairly large part (less than Layton Lake District) that is useless. It's a shame.
Askiy Ridge looks good, the areas pretty and the terrain seems okay but I can't even begin to care for it as a map.
The animals look amazing, the map seems well made, but I just can't get interested in it. The way I play means I just never had the problem with beavers other people seem to. I don't particularly care for elk or bison either and literally everything else can be found on other maps.
Honestly, I'd have legitimately bought the map just to get the Outrider, only, it's a reskin of a half-a*sed attempt to make an alternate for the .243 that hasn't changed in a meaningful way since game launched.
Just can't make myself care this time
