Where is my shadow?

This is something that's bugged me for years but I don't think I've ever seen anyone mention it: Why doesn't the player have a shadow from their own POV? Trees have shadows. Game animals have shadows. Our dogs have shadows. OTHER players have shadows. My ATV has a shadow and heck, when I'm ON IT I have a shadow! So why don't I have one when I'm just walking around?

It's not just me, right? No one else can see theirs either?

The lighting is probably this game's biggest visual strength so it seems really weird to me that there's this obvious gap in it. I don't want to be transparent anymore.

This is a problem or lack of a feature as old as the game itself. You're character in game seems to have no body. You cant see your shadow or the shadow of anything your holding, you also can't see your own body at all, like you can in Hunter Classic. You can only see your arms on the ATV in first person, nothing else

Really weird thing EW has ignored imo
